Geez there's some arrogance among the Crows fans with regards to Pav. There are a few of them that seem to think it's done and dusted and Pav's moving on. And if not to them, then to Port. One of them even had the audacity to claim, "I don't think we have to worry about Pav signing on at Freo - it's him signing with Port that worries me."

Couple it with that sign in Pic 23 - and I hope he jars them all back to reality when he signs a 3 year deal with us very soon.

:p

The only thing that concerns me is that perhaps he was auditioning to the club he wants to be apart of :(

Kapow!!! After the game I said to my husband - what's going to annoy the carp out of me is all the Crows fans who invade our board with comments like, "he was auditioning for the club he wants to play for"... Or at least I'd read it on their board...

So far you are the only one I've read it from... :(

He has no need to "audition" for anyone. Every other club knows exactly how good he is... and if he really wanted to go there, he would have played badly so that his trade-value didn't go any higher, pricing him out of their reach. :)

Wow, that glass is not even looking half empty, it's closer to completely empty.

Did you see the emotion that Pav had out there yesterday? His passion was for Fremantle and for his teammates, not for the Crows. If he really wanted to do the right thing by the Crows he would have shanked a few of his shots at goal and gone down with an honourable loss. Pav will be the captain of Freo in 2008.

I'm sorry for any pessimism but as you can imagine after the year that's been there hasn't really been much cause for optimism other than, well, that last game and even that has the litmus test of the upcoming games. Pav had passion, guts, lead his men through what can be described as a hell. But I've never really bought into 'tanking' - be it club or player. Pav's always been loyal and wanted to do what's best by Freo, even if he was going to Adelaide it's the kind of bloke he is.

Mind you I'm actually confident he'll stay (if in doubt benefit of the doubt he stays). Just stating the possibilities though...

As pointed out by a neutral supporter this morning and something missed by most of us, Pav may have let slip the strongest indication he will stay at Fremantle next year. Post match interview, when asked about Belly playing on, his response was along the lines of "yeah, we'd love him to play on next year, he's playing like an 18 year old". I missed it completely, though work colleague is convinced the words, tone and body language were a dead giveaway he's staying at Fremantle.

That comment was picked up by quite a few supporters. I think he had a taste of the Adelaide water and he was gunned into action, ......... ahhhhh I can't stand it, give me Freo water ..............

Interesting comment made elsewhere, why is the pressue on Pav to re-sign but little is said about Mr Twigley ?. Both of their contracts expire at the end of the season.

The crows game has given me more confidence about the Pav staying, He was like a new man during and after the game ....

Think he is with us for one more contract ....:thumbsu:

Then the Perth WCE Media can get back to doing their jobs rather than the old deflection tactics for favours from WCE and start asking questions re:Judd...

If anyone has ever had the 'pleasure' of visiting Adelaide, I think you'll join me in betting the house that Pav will stay, and longterm.

No chance of leaving, and quote me on that.

I think Pav was thinking the same as a lot of supporters. He likes Chris Connolly because he is a nice guy, but knew that the team was going no where under CC. Hopefully we can win more than we lose under Harvey to show Pav (and Warnock) that the future is rosie at Fremantle.

The boys looked a different group yesterday. HOw good was the photo (back of liftout in worst today) of Hase and Pav chairing Belly off after the game! They actually looked like they really enjoyed playing together - lets hope its not the last time we see it. :thumbsu:
