I don't care what any of those eastern states pundits say, that was a red card. My ref mate even backed me up on that saying to the letter of the law it is a straight red.

I am actually quite happy with Kenny's tactics this week. Got the lead and then just soaked up the pressure before hitting them on the counter. I would have preferred another goal before doing that but they never really looked like scoring so it was fine.

Hitting them on the counter? You were getting dominated by 10 men and it was a terrible Fitzgerald mistake.

That had nothing to do with Kenny. His hand was forced into making 3 changes due to injury and not the subs he wanted to make. Not to mention losing a CB and your DM. Being forced into the changes meant tired players had to stay on the pitch (Italiano) and allowed Newcastle to run all over us in the last 20 minutes. I called for Italiano to be subbed after an hour because he looked gassed and him losing concentration and not being able to get out of a jog was the cause for the 1st goal as he was trailing behind whoever scored. The 2nd goal was just a bullshit own goal that shouldn't have happened.

Happy with the win but that was one of the most boring games I have ever seen. The first half was particularly horrific.

Maccarone was flagged for offside and went on and scored. He was onside and because the ref blew the whistle before he took the shot on they couldn't check it via the VAR. At least that is how Simon Hill explained it. That was pretty much the only bad decision.

Keogh changed everything when he came on but we were in the game for all but a few a moments. Poscilerio (sp)_ and Walker were all at sea for their goal, shocking. Loved Joey Mills run for the second goal, having a consistent season this year,.
