OK that a stat and a half, but how many have been given is more to the point. Look, why cant people accept that everyone gets the rub at home, and the bigger you are, the more rub you get. There is a reason why teams get better results at home than away.

No need to shout for penalties that any reasonable impartial referee would award. You just expect it as the norm. Appealing for penalties usually happens when it is a 50/50 situation. In the case of Ferdinand's foul, it was a 100% nailed on penalty.

If you genuinely think that there is a case for Ferdinand's challenge on Anichebe not being a foul then there really is no point arguing with you. Ferdinand could tackle Anichebe around the waist, throw him to the ground and you would say that "it probably should have been a penalty".

I can understand why Walton didn't pay the penalty against Beckford even though it probably should have been one. Both players were tangled up with each other and on first viewing I didn't think it was clearly a pen. Likewise, whilst Hernandez's goal was slightly offside, it wasn't clear to the linesman that he was. Those sort of decisions not going your way you can understand (even if it is annoying).

In the case of Anichebe's foul there is zero doubt that it was a foul/penalty. I watched the game with my neighbor who is a United fan and the second that Ferdinand blatantly fouled Anichebe he put his heads in his hands and started calling Ferdinand a "slow useless twat". Couldn't believe his eyes when a penalty was not awarded and started laughing.

Questions have to be asked why Man United get so many blatantly wrong decisions going their way, especially in key games. It is well known that refereeing decisions got them over the line in 08/09.

After viewing those highlights, one has to come to the conclusion that Man United had some sort of influence over Riley in that fixture. You just cannot explain the sheer level of favoritism that United experienced in that match as just being a "referee" error. It is about time that United were investigated like Juve were in Serie A.
 
That penalty stat is almost correct. I think it was a year or 2 ago they mentioned that Man U had not had a penalty scored against them at OT since 1987 or something when Norwich potted one, between that time and like 2009, they had conceded a few penalties, but all were missed/saved. However it is rare for them to concede a penalty at home.
 
As for the Hernandez goal, the point of offside is when the ball leaves Valencia's foot, no the split second later it deflects of Distin. Given he was maybe 2cm in front of his marker when it deflected and always moving, it's not that far-fetched to suggest he may have been level. Besides, it's one of those ones that linesmen guess at, seven times out of ten the striker is actually level and we moan about how attackers don't ever get the benefit of doubt when they should.

But of course it's another borderline decision that is made out to be blatant as it's gone United's way. I hear Atkinson is not allowed to referee the Chelsea game as the powers can't have Luiz not being sent off again.

Nobody on here is saying that Hernandez was blatantly offside mate.


What is blatant though is Ferdinand's foul. Not surprising that when the championship is on the line that United get away with blue murder. It is outrageous that referees keep handing United trophies and it has to stop.

You are right Cashley should have got a straight red for that challenge. Also the Phil Neville one was not a yellow. We should have an enquiry in to this.

Ashley Cole's challenge was not a red card tackle, it was not even as bad as G Neville's first tackle.

Rio Ferdinand, Gary Neville, Ruud Van Nistelrooy and Wayne Rooney should have all been sent off (Wayne Rooney second yellow for diving) if that game was refereed properly. One has to come to the conclusion that United bought off Mike Riley in that match, there's just no other explanation for a referee not awarding 4 blatant red cards. You just won't find a game where United get the same amount of blatantly wrong decisions awarded against them. You might get one occasionally but never that many in one match.

Half of United''s titles have as much credibility as Juve's titles in Serie A between 95 and 05.

We should just accept the fact that United will get a 10-15 point referee assisted headstart on every other team each season.

It will never change in my lifetime.
