its only a trial run, thats the only reason why someone ended up picking for u. no damage done, im sure heaps of people are keeping things close to their chest.

has three things geelong need in spades, good pace, precise kicking, and goal sense. can play as an inside or outside midfielder with equal effectiveness. i really like the way he goes about his footy.

Pick 26 - Richmond

One part of me wanted to take the safe bet and draft someone who I had actually seen (Jackson Sherringham was one who sprung to mind), but i've just opted to go for a smokey with this pick in Caleb Mourish.

I know this pick is purely speculative and I doubt anything like this would ever transpire, but I really, really like the sound of him. I've read reports on him from PRE, BB and HHQ so i've got a decent opinion of him. He's 194cm, runs like the wind, has a decent leap and isn't a bad kick for goal. He very much fits into the Goodes/Franklin mould of athletic, tall KPP/Midfielders.

I think Wallace would like to draft someone like him.

seeing its a trial run, maybe we skip father sons ??? until we know how many picks are gunna be taken from father-son selections. ie carlton-essendon etc

im easy though, makes it a little more intersting to see who some people rate ??

With all of the talent in this draft, it's not too much of a shock to see someone slide, in this case it's Armitage.

yeah im not too fussed. i suppose we only know geelong and hawthorn are doing f/s at this stage, so whether we should wait until all confirmed im not sure. id like to have another pick, but it depends on what the concensus is.

We can make the F/S selections optional to each team IMO. As it's a trial run, it doesn't really matter a whole lot and it will be more interesting without 'em. Happy either way though, should be up to the teams with the F/S selections.
