I have little doubt he is the type that Wells would like... probably a little bit like Blitz in body shape and has a very good tank.

I didn't watch a lot of the U18 championships this this year. Most of the guys that stood out to me aren't going to last to 24 or are more or less committed to other clubs or aren't even in the conversation to be drafted at all. I'd love to grab any of Florent or Fisher . I like Tiziani but I've been assured by a few here that he will last to our later picks.

I was on Kerr but I'm off him now. I feel that he just isn't good enough to commit to. I'd rather grab someone like Brown for the rookie list and wait another year for a high end KPF prospect.

I have seen even less of Berry, but he has a nice frame, seems like a Wells type to me. He'd be my prediction for 24.

I see he has Hayward gone at 17... he has really been late charger.

He is a very good leader apparently... from that pov he would be a good add.

Historically, any KPP that falls to pick 24 will most likely be a waste of time.

I haven't got a name, but my prediction will be that it'll be a player that no one has mentioned here as a realistic chance to go at 24.

Exactly. I could be wrong but I don't think Kerr is AFL quality and I think Battle will be a Tim Membrey type at best.

Tiziani is an overager who was been good but not outstanding players in that situation rarely go top 40. Gws have 6-8 good academy guys and will have to go into points deficit to take them all so there is value for other clubs.

Witherden screams wells type but i hope thats not the way we go.

I thought he was more a defender. Zero chance GWS will let him through the net.

Mcraedie and garthwaite are the defenders sproule is better in the front half IMO. They will let some through the net.

+1 for Witherden. He's a local and coming off a serious broken leg so he may slide into the 20's if we are lucky.

Having said that he is a known high talent, so there is NO CHANCE Wells will take him with our first pick. Shame.

Basically if you want to match bids but dont have the points it comes off your pick the next year i.e. if someone bids a 3rd rounder your 3rd rounder next year gets used to pay the points.

Losing Caddy and replacing him with Berry would be like adding a similar player but one with leadership type traits.. another Selwood type ...but I agree he has drifted quite a bit from being in the conversation as #1 , 24 would be amazing considering the combine

Willem Drew is going to be beauty of a player, I don't think the kpf stocks are that good this year. I agree we need one, but I don't think we will pick one early.

Pick the kpfs early or dont pick em at all IMO.

They lose the points off then picks in the next years draft corresponding to what round the bid was matched. I believe that they can only match one bid that will take them into deficit.

Lets say a team has picks 44 and 48 in the draft.

They receive a bid at pick 18 the last pick in the first round. If they accept the bid their first round pick next year takes a deficit of 124 points which would reduce their next years first round pick by between 1 to 4 spots (lower they finish the lower the degree of movement)

But if they receive a bid at pick 19, the first pick in the 2nd round. They have deficit of 94.4 points which would reduce their next years second round pick by between 3 to 7 spots.

A team like GC that has no picks after pick 10 could see a next years draft pick drop down a couple of rounds should it match a bid if the pick that gets matched is close to the one the ultimately gets spent. But in the more extreme (and unlikely) scenario they could lose multiple later picks, if the bid is on the high end of the round and the teams picks are at the low end of the round.

Does Rory Lobb constitute a KPF? Because he was picked up at pick #29. To think GWS had so much talent to pick from and they even managed to unearth a gem at 29 as well!
