So glad Mayne didn’t get called for the block that resulted in a Cox mark/goal in the first.
The Eagles get away with every week and they stage for blocks.
Barrass, (or Cole) tried to con the umpire in the last qtr when Checkers marked and goaled too.

They didn't call a number of frees against thr Eagles especially in the last quarter when we were gaining ascendency. Holding the ball, high tackles - very apparent ones

Interesting observation which sparked a thought - I wounder if clubs do umpire analysis ?
Stevic was on duty Friday and it was Stevic in the GF who failed to call the block on Maynard.
Just a little edge that might be gained knowing that particular umpires are harsher on certain rules or interpret them a bit differently.

I would suggest watching the whole game again because in my eyes he has hardly terrible at all. Was cleaner than last week and had some good ground balls won imo.

Scharenberg has done the role in the past and did it well. I suspect we will return Howe via the VFL like we have done with Adams. Howe is typically a slow returner from injury and takes awhile to get back to his best form. I would be reluctant to put himon Cameron first game back from an extended layoff.

Edit. Looking at it young Isaac Quaynor was running with him in the first quarter. Scritchyscroony was giving him too much rope when running in general play and i think lost him a few times, something to learn from.

I'm just watching the game again. I'm very pleased that when Moore went down Bucks didn't take the easy option of throwing Mihocek down back and instead took the risk of playing Maynard on Darling.

Maynard's excitement after the game was so enjoyable.

Lol TGG it got a bit vicious there towards the end and I got a few PM's that we were totally derailing lots of threads. I'm not one to back down - small man syndrome I suppose - and he gets under my skin to make it worse. So far better to let it go rather than becoming personal and nasty.
