lolI am only interested in players who can fit a role in our best 22. Would rather Seedsman than Sidebottom.

I mean how well are essendon actually going in the VFL Yoda_ id like to see how players are comparing in stats terms and in visual terms (you might be able to help) in comparison of Alex Browne to guys like
K.Harper, George Horlin Smith (Geel), Hallahan (hawks), T.Davis (melb), T.Ledger (Stk)
as players in similar positions.
I know GHS probably has a much better side around him in the VFL in geelong, i dont followi the comp so id have to have a look, obviously harder to play in a worst off side and i know geelong won it last year didnt they
Thats pretty spot on currency IMO
but we cant afford to lose TBC, although if he wants out id take that deal pretty quickly.
Adams was pick 13 from memory in a pretty average side hes shown to improve from that ranking if anything and look a top 10 pick swap required for him, id take a semi proven AFL player over a completely unknown proven player that we could end up getting like a Moore, Cook ect but not many top 10 picks turn out to not make it anymore.
If we lost TBC wed have to go after another solid ruck, but their are plenty out there that can play VFL backup and step into AFL if needed as the number one ruck.
IMO we should be looking at guys like Hampson,Warnock, Currie, T.Campbell (just getting no chance) (Maybe even a Redden or Lobbe from port) i reckon they can only fit one of those guys in now, but we hardly give them better opportunities. It will be interesting to see how Geelong go with Blicavs, Simpson, HMAC, Vardy all fit and available. Who misses out might look elsewhere.

Would take Vardy. Hurley, Carlisle, Hooker back and JD, Vardy, Crameri forward. Good second forward and good second ruck. Right now Geelong seem to be keen to have Blicavs as their second ruck because he's just so bloody good around the ground, and Simpson is a monster ruck. Who would you part with though? They have no real deficiencies...
WOW such breaking news from Barrett - you knob.
He would waltz straight into our side ahead of everyone bar Jobe, Hepp, Goddard and Stants..I'm sure if you asked tjhe question on their board it would be 90% sidebottom, he is all class and a proven big game player....Seedsman is not even a regular yet, if they didn't have injuries doubt he'd even be in their best 22...Your crieteria to fill aroll is a bit strange, Jay Neagle could fill a roll with Ham and Cheese and god knows what else, Sidebottom as Ron Barrassi once famously said, "just get's the bloody ball"
what tripe'd he come up with this week?
What if a deal like:
Adams + 10 for Bellchambers and Pears came around? Would you take it?
I wouldnt want him leaving for anything less then a top 5 pickGWS are into him in a big way (of course, so they should be). I think we could easily get overs for TBC from GWS.
Hawks gain: Taylor Adams
Hawks lose: first round pick 20 + (Maybe something else) lets assume buddy is also going albeit other way
Ess lose: TBC + Pick 16 (first round)
Ess gain: number 1 pick
GWS lose: Adams and pick 1
Gain: TBC, pick 16, pick 20 (and maybe something thrown in) + buddy as we assume
North gain: Taylor Adams
North lose: first round pick 10 + D.Currie
Ess lose: TBC + Pick 16 (first round)
Ess gain: number 1 pick + D.Currie
GWS lose: Adams and pick 1
Gain: TBC, pick 16, pick 10
There is nothing wrong with my criteria. Go on the Collingwood board and put up the suggestion - Think you'll find supporters would be happier giving up Sidebottom.
And Sidebottom skill set is not needed at EFC.
On the surface you go, bang, fantastic deal. But...
Do you basically destroy our KPP depth for 2 midfielders (there is no tall that suits us that looks like being worth it at pick 10)
it comes down to whether you'd be happy with having a ruck corps of Ryder and Gumbleton, and then a crap shoot on whether we land a suitable mature aged replacement later on in the draft or through trade.
If we draft Sikora/trade for Hannath or Currie with a late pick. Then it becomes a really good deal and one that we really have to consider.

Couldn't see Hannath leaving free as he is on a two year contract and has played a few afl games this year. Currie on the other hand is looking for opportunities but doesn't that leave him in the same position at Norf? Behind the number 1 ruckOn the surface you go, bang, fantastic deal. But...
