Any benefit in doing chappy now and not in fa?
Must have something to do with contract terms - ie 2yrs at defined salary as FA vs trade in for 1 by 1?
will miss the big clunk.
He genuinely has my blessing to do whatever is best for him though, no animosity there at all.

Agreed. Hope he kick 40 - 60 next year and Freo win the flag (if we dont).
Making sure someone else doesn't sneak in and grab his signature before November. It's certainly no loss for us giving away pick 84.Any benefit in doing chappy now and not in fa?
Interesting that Chappy was for 84 and not 66. The great man Dodoro think we may still be "live" at 66? What's the in and outs situation with the list and where does this leave the guys yet to sign. Seems Alwyn's gone and question marks on Pears maybe? Or is Dal going around on the rookie list again? Someone crunch the numbers for me, I'm awfully tired...
Freo played some serious hard ball with us and won these past few weeks.will miss the big clunk.

If not for the outstanding bloke gumby is I would have let him walk to the PSD and redrafted him just to piss freo off.
Good luck to gumbletrom anyway
In (Out)
Chapman (Crameri)
Edwards (Gumbleton)
Aylett (Davis)
Pick #26 (Hille)
Pick #55 (Lovett-Murray)
Dalgliesh (?????)
Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but imagine if we'd used that really early pick on someone else.
Getting pick 55 for Gumbleton really amounts to getting nothing. As we are unlikely to even use 55.
What a disaster Gumbleton turned out to be. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but imagine if we'd used that really early pick on someone else.
Yer but if we did pick a mid we may not of drafted Zaha, heppell and all of those guys. We are in a good position to finish on the top of the top half so no complaints here, win some u lose someGetting pick 55 for Gumbleton really amounts to getting nothing. As we are unlikely to even use 55.

And if we picked Lachie Hansen?
Dodoro made it clear that we will have 2 live picks 26 and 55. 66 will be a rookie upgrade.
Hopefully ant555 will give us an indication who may be available at 26 and 55.

Or Leunenberger. It was a stuff up, but lets be real here, Gumbleton was the best rated KPP in that draft by an absolute mile. It was unfortunate injuries happened.
The pick 26 will be the interesting one, hope a Luke Dunstan is available, otherwise Gartlett or Marsh might be the money pick. Pick 55 who knows, would rather target a needs based selection whether that be a genuine crumbing forward or an outside midfielder.
What's ur point? Lol. My point was we lost on a draft pick. The club is going to be playing finals next year so it didnt really hurt us. We are not the first club to bust with an early pick? And if we picked Lachie Hansen?
