am now considering either skippy or Alwyn in forwards ??

However im not taking to much in about his game against dogs. Afterall didnt Dyson get 30 posses and look awesome against them aswell last NAB.

Skippy afterall will struggle for best 22 IMO, and only got 15 posses he doesnt look like he will get 5 marks,7 tackles and 2 goal each week.

Masten would be a safer bet and could end up being an able keeper to close till the end if he can do what he did against pies. I can see an 80 avg which means keep him until rounds 15 or so (Eg: last one to trade out if you have trades up sleeve).

If you see Skippy as a consistant best 22 than take him but otherwise im not touching him as of yet.

which of these three will be the most productive
Bartel, Couglan, Ziebell
OR
Selwood, Masten, Swift

Ziebell and Swift on the bench

Think about who are most likely to play consecutive games out of coughlan/ziebell and masten/swift, then make your decision.

Also, thhink about your captain options - do you need bartel? Or do you have another mid (say kane), or backs (goddard, chad) or cox to rotate through?

i have swan, cox, goddard, deledio all as options
so who would u go for
Think about injurys, and whos most likely to get games out of masten/swift and coughlan/ziebell.

Ziebell, might (hopefully wont) hve trouble with the laidley factor, and coughlan has big injury history, and recently had a few knee troubles again.

Masten should be best 22 all year, and eagles look like they want to play swift who looked ok in round one of nab.

Do you reckon Swift will play in round 1 and play most of the year if fit? And what about Masten, I think I might have heard he's had osteitis pubis. Is he over that as well?
Anyway, on topic, who on the bench out of Ziebell, Sidebottom or Dangerfield, and the same on the forward line out of Thorp, Gumbleton, Grant or Dowler?

J.Smith v Raines

a) Smith
b) Raines
c) both
d) neither

i think this is 2008 Bradshaw v Nicoski all over again and i can't decide.
(for the record, i chose Nicoski :()

abs of steele,
what are your thoughts on...

Lionheart Lockyer v Spudgun Shaw

and do you think Collingwood will play finals this year ?
(don't be bias :p)

JWS vs G.Urquhart?

I know JWS has more potential to score but not too sure about his injuries, hows he coming along? And Urquhart, is he in North Melbournes best 22?

Depending on who you prefer: a, b or d.

Cloke v McPhee v Monfries v <$341,800

There are negatives to all of those selections (I suppose anyone in that price range is going to have their drawbacks though):

Cloke: Played too close to goal last week, which does not bode well for high scores unless he is released by Rocca.

McPhee: I'm still uncertain about the role he'll play. If he plays in defense, then he could be a very good pick.

Monfries: Generally plays negatively, which obviously isn't suited to big scores (though he did have a good run home when the Bombers were winning).

Cloke v McPhee v Monfries v <$341,800

traditionally, forwards > backs
so i'd recommend buying McPhee as a back only. it may save you from an unnecessary upgrade.

i'd favour Cloke over Monfries.
Monfries defensive forward role is a deterrent in DT.
and after a poor start in 08 Travis Cloke averaged 80 over his last 14 games.

I wouldn't get sucked in by Tarks, still unsure where exactly he will play (depends who the opponent is aswell). Shaw looks really fit but we all know what happens when he gets a tag.:(

We'll definitely make the 8 (if we don't get injuries to important players obviously).:thumbsu:

why is every one going andrew rains and JWS
why isnt stephn hill in there he is 40k cheaper as well is there somthin wrong with him?

JWS will be rested every 2nd week throughout the preseason. Still not 100% right.

Urquhart is definitely in our 22 (both are).

Thanks Benno :thumbsu:

I read that Laidley was only playing JWS every 2 weeks during the NAB Cup but I wasnt sure if it was him being cautious of if he's still not 100%. Any idea whether its because hes still not 100% or is it Laidley being cautious?

It's probably the latter, his way of saving him for the H&A season. But I'd be wary of picking him but that goes for any other injury prone player.
Thanks again Benno. I'll see how he goes in the NAB Cup before I pick him up :thumbsu:

Judd v Gibbs
Kruezer v Leunberger
IMO
Gibbs. He'll average 90-95, where as Judd will average 85-90.
Kruez, as he will play CHF in patches and get more of the ball. Not sure what kind of scores they'll both end up averaging, but Kruez would be ahead by abit.

I've got a big one for the forward line that's doing my head in.
B. Harvey vs D. Giansiracusa vs S. Johnson vs N. Brown

All of them similar in price, will likely score well, but who will go best?
