Miers wasn't a mystery pick. Kid had a good NAB League season and kicked like 7 goals in the GF. Recruiters just questioned his kicking action.

Atkins and Humphries I wouldn’t say were unknowns.

IIRC, Atkins was on the Cats’ radar for a while having plied his trade in the magoos and Humphries was name dropped as a 16yo here.

Atkins was gonna stop playing VFL before getting drafted that year I believe.

The dream will be that he ends up being a Luke Jackson clone that can rest forward when not rucking, and potentially play as a midfielder for short bursts, but I don't see him doing the midfield part realistically, so Ruck/ FWD. He's not a guy that's relied on physicality/ superior timing to win hitouts at U18s level so the changes probably help more than hinder him

I don't think the defensive side of his game is good enough for his role, and I'm not confident his kicking or athleticism holds up

How is Zeke Uwland at 6, and Phillipou so low. Lindsay at 16? Look where Greeves is, may as well just say he isn’t getting drafted. I don’t understand how you rank a player? Even Farrow above Taylor makes no sense.

He sounds more like a Peter Wright tall forward/relief ruck.....how is his competitiveness / ticker ?
His 2km time trial was elite for a tall....so maybe could midfield like jackson or wing like Cox.

Any chance he falls to pick 5/6 and Essendon take him to pair with Caddy?

If he were to fall we’d want him but there’s very little chance of that
