PM's wife taken to hospital

The Prime Minister's wife, Janette Howard, was taken to hospital, his office confirmed.

A spokesman for Mr Howard, who is on annual leave, said Mrs Howard had been taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney on Monday for some routine tests.

No further information was immediately available.

Mrs Howard had surgery for cancer in 1996.

It was never revealed what type of cancer she had.

The original post mentioned treatment for cancer in 1996. Now I don't want to say this, but, could it be a secondary cancer has developed? If so, that doesn't good at all.

It's just routine tests...that's what the original post said anyway....
