Hmm dunno if i should play red or fire red. The old red is much quicker to train because emulator goes at like 10 times the speed fire red goes.

I guess its speed vs graphics quality.

All this Pokemon talk makes me want to go back and keep going with my game on Fire Red that I stated a while ago. Had not long beaten the Elite 4

If you haven't already get the VBA version that can emulate the link cable. Start 3 games and trade all 3 starters into one file and you're set. Can also get the likes of Golem and Gengar without Gameshark codes

Went through all my pokemon games (sadly could not find soulsilver) and brought back some great memories. I also realised I start a new game a lot when I get bored with one, switching Fire Red and Sapphire on and seeing 3 and 4 badges respectively is a bit of a kick in the pants, although it makes me want to play them now

Are the new games on DS good on emulators, as in Does it run quite well? Last time I played it, it ran alright but i am so used to the enhanced emulator speed, is it worth persisting with at normal speed?

I guess i'll do fire red, still relatively quick.

Trying to think of a squad.

Was thinking Blastoise, Arcanine, Electabuzz, Scyther, Nidoking and Gyarados. Kinda boring I guess. Once I did an ash squad like i didn't evolve squirtle/bulbasaur etc. Except I was successful and won.

I tried running Heart Gold a while ago on No$GBA. The speed was good but had a tendency of randomly freezing up. Desmume ran it well but was a lot slower.

Best game for mine was definitely silver (or gold i suppose). I got to 247/251.. then a year or so back I went to reminisce and the game cartridge's save battery or whatever it is that holds the save had died.. forever.
