A lot of the same criticisms were levelled at Brad Ebert before he came home and got a decent fitness base under his belt. Was supposedly slow, vanilla, and had poor disposal. I don't think any of those words apply to Brad Ebert's game anymore. In fact, I'd dare say his disposal by foot is nearing elite levels.
But hey, let's just write off Andrew Moore's career anyway. We need a good whipping boy now that Jasper has 50-plus AFL games under his belt and is delivering in spades.

Totally agree, although from memory, Brad and JMac arrived at the club with elite fitness compared to our Faillon program. Brad's skills were on the poor side though and there was a belief that we wouldn't have sought him out if he wasn't an Ebert. The wheel turns quickly, we've seen it with Schulz, Lobbe, Ebert, Pittard, Carlile, Westhoff, Broadbent. Actually, half the bloody team!

Brad's skills were typical of a young bloke still finding his feet at AFL level. Right now at this moment I'd consider him not only one of the better kicks in our team, but one of our best decision makers. Really turning into the complete footballer.

I think Ebert and Boaks kicking to be about the same, short kicks are safe, kicks on goal are good, long kicks tend to float a little but get nice distance.

However, I dub Ebert the "Alley-oop" he has a knack of putting the ball on top of an opposition defender's head for a big Schulzy or Wingard screamer.

Wingard should have shared his prize for MOTY with Ebert with that perfectly weighted pass on Dempster's head.

Yep ignore his weaknesses. I never heard Eberts speed or fitness questioned. He used to have issues with disposal, now he doesn't. Tell you want lets re contract Butcher and play him every single week to see if he cleans his kick up. No time to carry passengers, and right now, this is what Moore is, a passenger.

Tell you what, let's change the AFL rules and cut our list to 22. Because using your criteria every person outside the best 22 and not getting a regular senior game is a "passenger".

Oh ok, we are going to take arguments to the extreme end are we. Then cleary you believe that everybody on our list will absolutely have a future at AFL level? Going to be some salary cap squeeze to keep all these future Brownlow medalists.

The Port Adelaide website is saying that Jared has a navicular response. As compared to the news that stated he had a stress fracture. These bones heal poorly and a fracture I understand will take 3 to 9 months to get right. Given they are taking the conservative approach (as compared to surgery) I am hoping a fracture has not occurred and they intervened before a break actually occurred (and hence it turning into a one to two year problem like the Melbourne player). Hence the two month time line. If it is a fracture, I do not think we see him again this year.

8 weeks is being optomistic.

He's experiencing pain down the medial arch.

He should have had the tomographic scan earlier and should never have played last week.

Whats a tomographic scan?? Oh you mean Computer Tomography which every one calls CT scanning. Bet your info came from Dr Google.

Gave this a huge "like" !!! We can go thorough the list ... includes the perennial whipping-boy O'Shits (or whatever he was being called here at the time by some), but Jasper would have to go down as the most universally hated of all that list ...

Oh how the wheel turns! o_O
