Well Richmond are well and truly off the pace, they looked ordinary V Carlton, but tonight was horrible all round. Plus they're looking at a few weeks without Riewoldt with Rance already gone. Huge dent to their top 4 aspirations.

Collingwood looked pretty good, definitely a challenger but still not convinced of how good they are yet. Their gameplan had Richmond completely covered tonight, so need to see them again under pressure like Geelong put them.

Yeah, Richmond is done. The new rules have exposed their strategy of putting 8 players into the midfield and getting pressure around the ball, which is how they used to pressure teams.

And getting Lynch was a massive mistake. Has completely ****** up their forward system. Couple that with losing Rance, and it wouldn't surprise if they miss finals.
Yeah Lynch isn't worth nearly as much as they paid for him, but I've gotta say their whole team looks incredibly unfit.

They will probably pick up later in the year but if they drop too many games early they will knock themselves out of finals contention.

margin flattering to collingwood.

should've been a lot more.
Game was actually close at 3QT (Cool +18). Pies were able to finally put Richmond away in the last quarter. They crushed the Tigers 5.4:34 to 1.2:8 to finish the game.

the margin should've been much bigger at 3/4 time. overall margin should've been more like 10 goals+ when you look at the stats. Dominated everywhere.

Wow.
Richmond as bad an effort as I have seen for ages.
No desperation. Flat as tacks. Complete lackmof a countability.
Commentators said almost at the finish 8 Tigers had not made a single tackle.
Hardly hit a target all night either.
170+ marks shows how little effort they put in.
Wobblers should have won by close to 100 points.
Hope that means Carlton are massively overrated after their effort against Tiggerland last week, and we smash them.

Dusty in particular is the best player in the league IMO when he's up and about, but right now he looks a shell of himself. Hopefully that holds for a couple more weeks.
Well they could easily lose again next week - based on tonight, you can't see them getting over the Giants in Sydney. So hopefully they'll arrive in Adelaide low on confidence. Anyway: let's worry about Carlton for now!!!

True, but it is football. If you don't translate your dominance into scoring, you keep your opponent in the game. That happened in the end of Q2, when Richmond scored 3 consecutive goals.

Before Collingwood taking full control of the game, Richmond had actually 3 consecutive scores in Q4 (1.2). If they had repeated Q2's accuracy, Collingwood could have been in trouble — despite being clearly the best team the entire night.

6 ended up with no tackles and another 10 had one.

Tigessendon

Fox points out that Richmond had 7 defenders at a bounce at one point and 5 forwards.

I reckon this was due to the Tigers getting gassed by Collingwood's ball movement and just couldn't get back into position in time.

I’m a frequent lurker of the Camry board especially when they’re losing. At the moment the general consensus is “yeah Tex looks cooked but what a leader he is, heart and soul of the club for a decade now, ra ra ra”

Lol as if he’s not the epicentre of the toxic boys’ club culture that has sent one young blue chip recruit per year on average trying to get the hell out of there at all costs. Leadership.

We could be facing a Richmond side in 2 weeks at Adelaide Oval sitting one win and two losses (they have GWS in Sydney next), certainly without Rance and possibly Riewoldt.

Huge game. We could just about end their top 4 chances.
I know I should not say this but am worried about the Carlton game.
I can see them getting a arm chair ride from the ups and some spud playing the game of his life.
