And there was no way any media was going to call him out given the PC world we live it.
Look at Betts, he's copped as much as Goodes but handled it with class. One is a shit campaigner the other a champion of the game.
Ha ha the media PC? There were debates about his calling out the girl and the spear throwing reaction.

Rubbish!
The first thing most people know about Australian politics is that the people are pretty racist and we killed all the aborigines.
Never, ever has Australia been considered PC.
You've obviously never been to the U.S or Europe then... People here may be racist (no less than any other country by the way) but our media are as PC as they come. More so than any other country I've been too. Living in the states and UK we take the cake. We make stories out of nothing because we are a small country with no news. it's embarrassing.

There is a significant difference between booing a bad call from an umpire, booing a player that has changed teams, or booing a player having a shot for goal over booing during an Anzac presentation or booing someone with discriminatory motivation.

To suggest booing during an Anzac presentation is a good show of footy tribalism is one of the more odd majority views i've ever seen on this board.

I’m from Europe and have literally just returned from the US last week.

You must be hanging out with some right wing nut jobs.

The overwhelming view of Australia overseas regarding race is Howard’s boat people policy and aborigines.

The only people who think Australia is PC in anyway are the gun nuts, from your last post it seems that you are talking about YOUR perception of Australia after visiting other countries.

And I'm guessing you're a left wing not job. Might as well talk about my experiences to a slab of concrete. I lived in Portland and Seattle by the way, hardly right wing there. Media making stories of the situation yesterday rather then talking about the game of the year, it's no wonder people do sway right at times.

There is a massive difference between saying "those people are dickheads and I disagree with them", and saying "those people need to stop booing and we need to crack down on it"

Would I boo Pendles ever? No. Do others have the right to boo him? Absolutely.

The thing that pisses me off is the highlights package from yesterday's game should be the talking point, it had everything and the first thing our media does is whinge about something like booing. Thats Australian media in a nutshell. The crowd were clearly emotional , it was a mob like mentality like every big crowd that yells out holding the ball or boos for nothing .. nobody was booing war veterans , they were booing the incompetent umpiring from start to finish that for one reason or another the media won't call out themselves.

AFL spends all summer introducing 78 new rules.... then wonders why umps get booed.

How about get the fundamentals correct like holding the ball, ducking into tackles.
I agree about the ducking but at some point a player standing up has to bend over and pick up the ball. You can't yell out he ducked in that situation.

The AFL have blatantly and pathetically cashed in on ANZAC Day. Remembrance of fallen soldiers should be separated from footy. The AFL has made its bed...

Not sure what right or left has to do with it. Media is interested in making money I'd suggest. As if they give a **** whether they're being PC.

I think having the medal presented straight after a close game with some questionable umpiring decisions is always going to have an emotion charged reaction.

If you want people to behave appropriately then don't have it at the end of a passionate footy game.

I'm amazed that approx. 80,000 people can stand silently during the minute of silence. That is more remarkable that some dickhead doesn't spoil that. But they don't focus on that.

They did. Very much so.

Then all the dickheads shut up or ****ed off or both.
