Watching the 2017 Elim because it's on tv; two things jump out at me now that I can watch with detachment, emotion removed: the umpiring has been as bad as the Ryder-to-Gray St Kilda game, and the last three or so games of 2017 Dixon was looking great.

The umpiring was definitely pretty bad in the first half. I was convinced that the AFL just wanted the WA market interested for one week longer.

Probably has something to do with not wanting afl players playing in other leagues to control and manage the risks of the virus so I’d say that would be a no.
