Not letting our seconds play is bullshit.

we get no chance to develop our players, no chance to look at who we should cut at the end of the year and who has progressed.

the chances of an SA team getting an infection playing in the sanfl, a team that doesn’t play interstate is minuscule.

this is a case of us getting burnt because the vfl teams are high risk because they have high rates still.

there should be an option to separate players. Pick 30 to play the afl (rotate them) and 10 guys play sanfl. They don’t get called up to play afl so there is zero risk. Get game time into depth and developing players.

it took me 2 mins to come up with that but the ******* afl.

i like how despite the fact there was always going to be some story there about who reported the crows (and why they did it and what they saw) that no Adelaide media brought it up or chased that story whatsoever.

it wasn’t even revealed who reported it. Like it was a rabbit hole that no one wanted to go down.

common sense said it was either golfers or staff yet there was no attempted interviews with either when it was headline news.

every day of the week, anywhere in the world, on any continent that story (who reported it) gets chased by the media.
Yup, there’s some juicy stuff there if they wanted it.

Lol the SANFL excited they will be starting the season before the AFL so will apparently be able to capture the larger audience.
I have news for them. They can get stuffed.

I have better news. No one cares about your competition.

Except they won’t be able to afford it
Who?
The whole affordability thing is a lie.
The cost of playing in different leagues etc. is more than just playing the same day and place as the firsts.
Cost only comes in on player list issues, that’s workable.

Imagine the TV deal for a reserves comp? It would fund the whole ******* thing.

Should if been a reserves comp from the get go Maggie's our reserve side play before the power easy well it should of been.

All the AFL needs to do is cover top up players small wages and get a league wide plane sponsorship to fly reserves players for free.

This can easily be covered in the next TV Rights deal if they want it to. Sponsorship isn't really needed, they just like using it as an excuse not to do the ground work.

having magpies play Collingwood / west coast / Essendon etc reserves every second weekend would be great for attendances at Alberton and our bottom line. Surely that’s max crowds every game. Could even upgrade and get more people in. More punters would go to a port v hawks reserve game than port v west Adelaide for sure.
