Weird because his dad is quite articulate... By football commentator standards.

Tim's a peice of shit. Nasty, self absorbed campaigner. No doubt Tim got the lad a job because of who he is, but Jobe comes across as a far nicer, humble bloke. Can't commentate for shit, but not many of them can.

If we lose to this shitshow of a club on Anzac day I'll spew up
If the Saints kick 12:1 again, someone will be reporting me to the RSPCA, because I'll be kicking the cat.

Did Don Scott leave or did he get fired? He is the worst ex player special comments guy I have had to listen to on TV. Most ex players as boundary riders are useless but at least they are rarely heard outside the quarter breaks.

Kirk was so bizzaro bad, he was entertaining.

Russell Greene was the worst special comments man ever, back in the early fox footy days. He’d start sentences and forget to finish them before starting new ones then lose his train of thought on what he was trying to say in the first place

Peaked in that episode of League Teams where he copped a bad hamstring cramp and had to spend the rest of the episode standing up.

Drew Banfield was a boundary rider for WA matches for about 5 minutes - he was more wooden than...Josh Wooden.

I know that looks confusing, but philthy05 is right. The pick 18 we got from Saint Kilda blew out to 23 (Williams) due to academy bids and also due to a last minute pick swap with Brisbane.

The Georgiades pick was originally 16 when we got it from Brisbane for our 2020 first rounder and a 2nd rounder. Was not happy with that deal at the time, but looks astute now, especially with the 2020 Lachie Jones selection factored in.

Banfield was the gold standard for ‘good looking ex-footy star! what could go wrong?!’

He was on par with the boom goes the dynamite kid.

He was the worst of the ex player boundary riders I have seen as he was completely hopeless because he froze all the time. Dipper was the most useless in terms of what he said.

I remember him as a boundary rider on 7, but not as the special comments guy.

I always wondered why Keith Stackpole got the flick from Channel 9? He was actually a good commentator.

Might not have been a big enough campaigner to fit in with Chappell and Greig.

Currently. He can be grating but he still shits over Derrrrwayne and all the other sh*t truck ex-players right now when it comes to calling a game.

Yeah best of a shit bunch is correct.

Glen Jakovich had a short stint on radio as a special comments man not long after he retired - deep thinker, but not a great communicator and had a few bloopers that became known as Jako-isms. Adrian Barich used to send him up mercilessly and it got to the stage where Jakovich took legal action, for damage to his professional standing/earning capability.

I heard Jako on the tv in the Marsh series games this year and he sounded just as bad as I remembered. Haven't heard him since, so maybe Seven came to their senses.

Potentially controversial opinion incoming but BT is the best ex-player commentator by far.

I admit I have a giggle with him and his excitement is infectious. If he could tidy up the rough edges around miscalling player names etc. he'd be alright in my book.

They could get rid of for starters:

Lynch
Healy
Russell
Underwood
Howard
Ralph
Holmes
Darcy
Pearce
Watson (x2)
Carey
Ling
McLaughlan

I'd probably keep for lack of alternatives:
King
Taylor
Hudson
Brereton
Brayshaw
Riewoldt
Montagnia
Dal Santo
Papalia
Lewis
Dixon
Morris
Loughnan
Jones

And bring back Neroli Meadows, why the **** did they let her go those ****ing idiots.

**** me - how many are there LOL

I used to enjoy the hell out of Don Scott precisely because he was so bad, and prone to starting stupid arguments with his colleagues.

Sounds like an ideal replacement for Gil McLaughlin :).

I hated these three as players, but I've grown to like them post football.

Nick Reiwoldt
Brad Johnson
Matthew Richardson

I think Leigh Montagna is good too. Hell, I may even begin to like Jordan Lewis.

Luke Hodge is still a thug campaigner in my eyes but at least he knows what he is talking about.
