Finishing fourth and sending first-placed Adelaide, Geelong or GWS into a semi against Sydney sounds fantastic though.

My first thought was: "why would it be good seeing someone else playing the Swans in the semis?" It took me a while to realize that the "Semifinal" is not the semifinal, because the semifinal is called "Preliminary Final"... o.O

They actually improved their accuracy on last week, where they scored 11-20 :D

They kicked at least one out-of-bounds this week. It is in the match highlights. Since they finished 11.19, they would have gotten worse this week.

Dear doctor please help me, I've begun to like Brian Taylor's commentary. I'm finding a Dennis Cometti-like humour in it. And since seeing him on The Front Bar recently I quite like him. I actually used to mute the TV and get delayed audio from the radio to avoid him.

There's a chance we can be sitting second on the ladder after tonight if Carlton pull an upset, which is not a ridiculous thought at the moment, then GWS beat Geelong as you expect.

Thursday nights the AFL wants a packed house for "the look" on TV so they know that's a lock. Same with Cats at Kardinia Park on Thursday night. Apart from season opener Richmond and Blues I don't think a Thursday game is played in Melbourne of the other 7 games.

It's all about TV viewers in Victoria and getting max value for the broadcaster.

Its not about getting off. He knows he will get 5 or 6 weeks. Its about controlling the story. The tribunal doesn't sit until Tuesday night the MRP late Monday arvo. So get out front and say I ****** up, I will cop my whack - stops every car park journo stalking him for an interview. Good media strategy.
I'm pretty sure Tom Jonas fronted up with I stuffed up and I am really sorry but was crucified for a very long time.

As I was watching T bugg last night after the game walking on the field smiling and chatting, I thought of how damn different it was to TJ looking sick and sorry for his actions. But I guess being a good footballer doesn't necessarily make you a decent person.

Bugg irritated me last night with the smirk. I'm sure it was all gone when he fronted the media but really showed what a piece of shit he and his club are.

I dont think he meant to punch him in the face, but he should get 5 weeks.

Maybe he can get Mick Molloy to give him a good reference

No. We haven't beaten a side that was in the 8 for 3 years.

Repeating this again and again does not make it true.

Round 17 last year, we beat North when they were in the 8 (and remained so).

I'd count beating the reigning grand finalists in round 1 (who are now back in the 8) as counting too.

Not to mention several in 2015.

Our record of recent time against top 8 teams is poor, but this often repeated "fact" is clearly false.

...

I refuse to believe a professional athlete can be that fatigued two minutes in to a game that they launch a punch at someone and miss by that much.

He definitely meant it.

Remember the Sunday night game between Collingwood and Carlton that was like under 40k and Victoria staged a protest to rival the Vietnam moratorium marches over it?

Meanwhile we continue to pack Adelaide Oval for Sunday twilight.

Tribunal: "Five weeks."
Bugg: "But I have a character reference from Mick Molloy!"
Tribunal: "Six weeks."

With all this talk of thuggery regarding players actions in game play and everyone (including me) having their say on how to improve this, the AFL needs to take stock and ask the fans. I think we the fans what a fairer system, on the day.

I would like to see the AFL issue out a video survey of incidents from over the last ten years and have multiple selections of what the penalty you would apply if a Yellow or Red Card or a fine was implemented into the rules to see the results.

This is the only football code that you take out someone from the game and still play on. But, you would feel shite during the game knowing that your cop a suspension as did Bugg. After that he did SFA...

Because? If people are so unaware they need a video of someone hitting someone to know what the topic of discussion is they're not really the people to be making decisions on something like this.

Can't stand players looking to butter up for dog acts straight after the game by approaching their victims during the hand shakes and apologising.

**** right off with that shit you cheap thug. I'd clock em there and then.
