If it was an AFLW game and a bloke did that the uproar would be much greater. A game or 2 ban would be sufficient I reckon (although policing that may be difficult if he just used another card to enter or something). I understand people thinking, oh it was just a bum tap, get over it, but you just cannot be leaning over the fence doing that.

I love to bag Adelaide as much as the next person, but their continued drafting of KPP’s, even with plenty on the list is definitely not one of the things we can bag them for.

I wasn't actually bagging Adelaide as it is Brisbane that gave up pick 12. I was highlighting the uncertainty of drafting KPF's and why a known quantity may appear more attractive.

Fogarty is getting away without too much attention on his deficiencies due to his age, and that’s fair enough, but right now he’s basically a poor man’s Lewis Johnston. Plenty of time for him to work on those deficiencies, and he’s got the talent to be a very good footballer if he does, but as you said, there’s no guarantee that he’ll be successful. Lewis Johnston wasn’t.

Also easier when he's one of 4 KPF's for most games. If Lynch goes and Betts either retires or continues to slow down, he's going to get more attention next year, regardless of age. Even more so if Walker's regular outs with injuries this season becomes something he has to deal with for the rest of his (Walker's) career.

Please explain how the incident in question does not fit the actual legal definition of assault provided above.

Without some aspect of fear felt by the victim you don't really have an assault in practice IMO. No way would any action be taken by Police apart from turfing him out of the ground.

Mostly state level. If this means more junior development directly by the AFL, that’s good. If more by the SANFL, then the states already shit junior development is destined to only get worse.
