Looking at the so called 'last 3' the tingles are looking at, it appears they are trying to find a long standing assistant like Walshy was. Walshy wasn't a good coach just because his time as an assistant and it seems the tingles may full in the trap of appointing someone with a similar resume because it seemed to work for Walsh.
I reckon on that basis they'll go for Blakey.

It would be rare for Caro to go bang on an article like that if she isn't 100% certain he's gone. To say he told the club last month is very specific information. She doesn't get much wrong.

agree - given she is the chief football writer at the age, she would have pretty water tight sources.

just heard Rowe get stuck into Walls on 5aa on this article.

whilst it probably could have been articulated better, I agree with the premise of Wall'sys article.

Worsfold is a premiership coach so should be held in high regard, but the way some people carry on you'd think he has multiple premierships in the bag.

Looks like someone stuffed up and forgot to give Robert his medication.

Just watched the highlights from Swans x Kangaroos and was surprised to see the Roos go through. So now, who do we want to win the whole thing? I have watched too little of the Eagles to have an opinion about them and I wouldn't want Hawthorn to win it again (they did their job by kicking out the Crows and that's enough). I would be even more surprised if the Roos were capable of winning a Prem Final as well, so I'm more inclined to favour Fremantle to be honest. They were the first non-Port team I ever watched very early in the season and I was impressed with Fyfe even before I knew he was such a star, so for that silly reason, I quite like him :D

Not Hawthorn. They've won the last 2 premierships, narrowly, narrowly eliminated us in last years Preliminary Final and a lot of their players are very dirty (like Hodge bumping Wingard's head into the post).

Most of this board don't really like North and it's hard to see them getting past West Coast this week anyway, so that rules North out. Speaking of West Coast, I think we'd be happy to see them win it because they play exciting football, are great to watch and have been a nice surprise packet this season.

Then there's Freo. They're yet to ever win a premiership and given how old their list is, it's arguable that 2015 is their last chance for a long time. Their captain, Matthew Pavlich, is a well respected player and has been around for many years so he really deserves a premiership medal to reward all of his hard work and years of loyalty.

So yeah, either West Coast or Fremantle, who may possibly face each other in the Grand Final. Hope I helped :)

I'll be barracking hard for Danyle Pearce if Fremantle make the grand final.

Eagles, see PJ Power's post below. Hawthorn next, because one more flag probably won't make a difference to their supporters' inflated heads and their bandwagon. Fremantle 3rd pretty much only because of Pavlich and to a lesser extent Pearce, but the sadistic side of me loves a loser, probably why I get a lot of joy from seeing Richmond lose all the time.

North, well, North isn't winning a thing.

It's for this reason that I'd like West Coast to win.
They lost their best defender in McKenzie before the season started, and Brown soon after.
Kennedy has played with an injury since the week before they played us in round 6. He has been exceptional.
They obliterated Hawthorn in the QF without Masten (who is an underrated midfielder these days) and Priddis (who remains underrated despite his Brownlow).
When they lost to Hawthorn earlier in the year, they did so without the most influential player in the competition (Natanui) and people barely pointed this out.

Under Adam Simpson, this team has just got on with it. Their backline has held up incredibly well, aided by the rest of the team, in a stellar example of what team-care and team defence actually means.
They have played breathtakingly exciting football, while maintaining superb defence.

If ever a team has gone about its business in a humble, efficient manner without using excuses and deserves a flag, it is West Coast.

The other three teams, their coaches and players, do nothing positive for me as a neutral supporter.

With all of West Coast's resources and their particular home ground advantage, to take a wooden spoon is a special feat.

not to mention one of the greatest centre lines of all time which included 2 Brownlow medalists with Kerr and Cox also polling very well throughout their careers - I recall Kerr being top 2 or 3 once or twice?

Lol @ that BREAKING: Patrick Dangerfield has just signed a new 3-year contract post from 2012 on facebook still being bumped and commented on every couple of minutes.

What a sad bunch of customers, lol's.

Carlton have asked for Essendon's permission to talk to Neil Craig.... Jeeeeeezus their in the mire that mob lol

Triggy and Craigy ..... Back to the glory days hey.

I reckon Dangerfield has got pretty nearly with the media over the last few weeks when put to him he had already decided. He's actually played the - waiting until post season about as well as anyone could ..... Up until this story.
Story goes he told noble in August. I wonder when he told his business partner (ricciutto)

Interesting reading a poster on the crows forum today bumped one they made August 31 saying an Adelaide board member wasn't on speaking terms with Dangerfield at that time.

Surely helped :thumbsu:
Yeah I know Pavlich, he was one who stood out for me early on as well. It would be nice if he could retire with a winners medal.

I guess I just need to watch the Eagles then, because I think I only saw them vs us and we were pretty poor that day if I remember correctly (we were playing in a different, small stadium if I'm not mistaken). I don't know any of their players

Unreal 31,000 to a semi final.

So add an expansion team there o_O
Although that figure is probably triple what they'll get to the Adelaide Oval next Sunday. Hurry up and die SANFL!

The Swans fans come and go but they at least have a 30 plus year footprint, GWS even with success will never draw crowds.. complete waste of time in an AFL boutique state

Pavlich is an SA boy who we could have picked back in the nineties in our formative AFL years but we passed on for Adam Morgan (literally who). A great Fremantle clubman (one of the only Fremantle clubmen?) and the only AFL player in WA to play 300 games. The first thing people think about when they think Fremantle is Matthew Pavlich.

As for the Eagles, well, they're playing attractive footy. They've got a star studded forward line with the likes of Kennedy (Coleman medal), Darling and LeCras who is back in what should have been AA squad form after injury problems over the last few years. Kennedy is a great character.

(Look out for Brad Ebert in this vid in his Eagles days)

Look out for Shuey and Gaff who are exciting and explosive in midfield, Elliot Yeo studding it up anywhere on the field, or last year's Brownlow medalist (a total shock) Matt Priddis with the curly hair, not a very attractive player but excellent at the in and under stuff at clearances.
