Adelaide have a real chance to notch up a double ton victory this week

Lol, I doubt we'll ever see one of these again. Highly doubtful.

If we do, I'll celebrate it no matter who does it. Miss good old fashioned ruthless football. It seems Choco's greatest legacy was popularising cue in the rack football.

St. Kilda when they are on @ Etihad can just about take anyone IMO.. we were leading the 2nd side last week herp derpa while Collingwood beat them @ falafel stadium.

Collingwood for the flag
Herpa derpa? So your opinion is based on they can be good, as can we on our day.

Yet you herpa derpa the form line of the past four rounds.

Ok then.

Perhaps it's my naivety, growing up with Bucks as a superstar and half of my family being Collingwood supporters, but I don't see why he's got the FIGJAM tag, more so than most professional athletes who work hard to get the most out of themselves. Isn't he more or less the same ultra professional as Tredrea?
I actually think that to be successful at that level you have to believe in your own bullshit or you will be a second guessing neurotic player (Butch comes to mind). Talent is only a small part in my mind there is arrogance, endeavour, hard work, desire, bloody minded and whole lot of other nice words but you have to be thick skinned and believe that you deserve to be there.

Anyone else over the fact that clubs have to pretend players are injured when they just want to rest them for a game?

Surely it's up to the clubs what they do, this daft cloak and dagger stuff is annoying. It's supimilar with those leaving at the end of the season. It's a professional game, players will be rested and traded, the game needs to grow up and allow it to be discussed.

Got its hand in the betting agencies cookie jar, can't afford to let teams play at anything other than maximum possible strength to not influence the market.

Wasnt that long ago geelong did it

It was actually, 5 years ago now. In the same season Hawks did it as well but we don't talk about that.

Hawks and Sydney should have been pumping several sides by 150+ over the last couple of years but don't. West Coast at home should have caused more trauma as well.

Nah bucks as a player was 100% a figjam

lel that epithet goes all the way back to his Port Adelaide teammates in 1992.

source: team mate of his from that year

You are confident in reading our form line? look I think we'd beat St. Kilda at AO "probably" as we did earlier in the year but at Etihad they are a different proposition I respect the way they are developing they are more than capable of flogging us there in our current state.

So my girlfriends dads business partner (how all good rumours start :p) saw Alistair Clarkson on a flight leaving Adelaide going to Melbourne earlier this week. Does he have family in Adelaide?

As long as he wasn't catching up with Pittard. He has been known to go to any lengths to poach a player.

If they don't this week, they'll get another chance against Brisbane next week.
