It's the end of this club if our rivals are Premiers this year. How can we attract players, fans and sponsors?

If they win it then they win it. There is literally nothing we can do about it, so why stress? Someone has to win it every year, if it’s not port then it really doesn’t matter who else does. This year everything that could have gone wrong has and next year will be a fresh start with a new coach and hopefully without the long term injuries to key players.

In terms of attracting players, how did the crows manage to attract players while they were shit? We are not even close to as bad as they were when they managed to get rankine and Dawson. We will be fine in that area too. The future isn’t as bad as you are suggesting.

The obvious one is getting back all the fans (like myself) who abandoned the club over the last 5 - 10 years due to Hinkley. If the club makes it clear that the excuses and 'anti-Port' mindset was wrong and won't happen again, they'll slowly lure us back. It will take actions not words over an extended period to build real trust, but it's possible.

Players no easier or harder than it usually is. Whilst the early Hinkley years got us players wanting here, any player the last half decade with a brain, who wanted success was staying away. Again if Carr can show we actually want to win a flag AND are willing to do the hard things that requires, we'll get players wanting to come to Port. The problem of attracting non-SA players here won't go up or down based on Adelaide winning the flag.

Sponsors we're always playing second fiddle to Adelaide. It's more they'll attract more sponsors, who otherwise wouldn't have gone to either team, because they want the reflected glory for their brands.

Any issues for those three (fans, players, sponsors) is 100% due to Port not succeeding, rather than Adelaide succeeding.

Nah most premiership teams tend to have a lull 6-8 weeks out. Should be hitting peak training loads now, then begin to taper off to peak late September.

That was a big lull, they don’t look as dangerous as they did last year.
Not saying there no hope but there going to have to improve a lot to win the flag.
