So are we sure Gold Coast was ever losing to the tingles?
Id say yes, or more chance to lose. Crows have a better forward line mostly, than Freo and their backline is fairly well the same. Only difference is the midfield so if Rowell and Anderson got off the hook against Crows they would dominate but if Crows backline held up which is quite possible then it could of been Crows. But who knows.

If anything, the Sun team showed the typical Dimma approach and that's to not give up and keep pushing even when knackered.

In part now, hoping Suns can at least get to preliminary. Will change the game in more ways than one up Qld. The Q clash alone will pump things up

Best not to take that risk, Collingwood was always the preferred option.
Everything is falling into place for Rowey to have a heart attack Friday night.

Crows will get over Hawthorn on Friday night. Despite the raving FOXTEL commentators Hawthorn are not that good. The Crows big test will be the following week when they face a rampant Geelong in Melbourne. I reckon that will be spew time for Rowe and his Cow loving mates.

From where i sit I reckon the two Prelims will be Geelong v Adelaide (Melbourne) and Collingwood v Brisbane (Melbourne) with a Geelong v Collingwood Grand Final and another Victorian AFL Premiership. At least that is where the money is in the betting. Cats are 2.75 to take the flag with Collingwood at 3.50. while the Crows are out to 11.00.

You win some you lose more and think about what you cold be buying instead.

That would be the favorite way at the moment.
It will be hard for either of Friday nights sides to beat Geelong.
On the other side Collingwood should take care of Brisbane/Gold Coast.
Whoever wins this weekend looks meaningless in the big picture.

STAND.

The rule says if you are on the mark for a set shot you cant jump up and down and put the kicker off. Its a stupid rule as it has nothing to do with stopping a player from playing on for around the ground.

I am 99.9999% sure David Swallow was not called to play on when he had his shot for goal in the dying seconds of the EF.

Erasmus jumped up and touched the ball. Why didn't the f arken ARC say it was illegally touched so its a goal or a 50m penalty????

It was a bloody stupid way to end a great game, waiting for the ARC to say it was touched after all that time.

Bring back the Sunday final farken.
TV money rules sadly. You know the league allocated tickets to the GWS and Hawks members that bought in the priority sales window in the outer facing the sun purely for the optics on TV. The better seats facing east and overlooking the players bench were released last and didn’t sell out. What a disgrace.

It is the most amateurly administered professional sporting league on the planet.

It was total on ground confusion after the ball went through the goals.
GC celebrating about the goal then the ball returning to the center and everyone standing there not knowing what’s going on.
Then the ball having to be taken back for the kick out.
All that’s missing was Benny Hill music playing in the background.

The AFL's response when queried on this...

Shai Bolton is really an average player

Consistently performs below his ceiling and plays dumb football

The better coaches stand out more in finals that's stating the obvious who would you rather have as a coach Hardwick or longmuir. Mitchell or Kingsley Mcrea or Nicks. It's not hard to distinguish which coaches have it and which ones don't and to think our club couldn't see this for a decade is staggering.
Except that Hinkley performed well in finals during his first two seasons here.

The elephant in the room is that this club has struggled in finals at AFL level since its inception.

It didn’t start with Hinkley, and it won’t end with Hinkley, because he’s not the root cause.

Hawks jumped jumped them last time but fell short. Rankin was best on ground.

Hawks are a massive chance. I would not be confident in the slightest if I was the crows.
