Positives vs WeeGirls

Didnt think Hill was anywhere near our best despite disposals (Suban, Van Berlo, Broughton were more important imo) and also felt Haselby struggled.

One of the main positives for mine, was an hint in how they intend to use Hill in future.

He was the outlet man, ala Mcleod. Obviously has class disposal, and runs like the clappers, so you can just put it in his area and have a greater than 50% chance of it becoming a win for us.

Would prefer him to be the next in line in that chain, but if he can do that role as well... all the better.

According to AFL.com.au.... his stats were 17 disposals, 8 Clangers.

How is Suban looking compared to Hinkley now Bradesmaen?

94% Effective disposals according to the Herald Sun today.

Game, Set and Match! Suban is not only the more talented player!

(Admit it, Hinkley will NEVER get that rate of effective disposals nor will he get over 20 posessions in future)
Suban is the harder player that will end up in our midfield doing a hard and skilled job in future.

Forget Warnock, we got the FAR better deal with Suban!!!:D:thumbsu:

Six in the middle of the circle!!!! Awesome!

Hard to know apprently Broughton and Pearce are lookalikes - Matthew Campbell even said so.

How many times did they get these two mixed up.

Congrats on the win BTW, you guys were slightly less horrible.
It's because their numbers are so close together :D
Broughton's smother - loved it how Solly ran up to him and hugged him and ruffled his hair and got in his ear. :thumbsu:

Then Ballantyne's tackle right at the end. :D

I love how these young blokes are showing the Dumb-Arses what courage and putting your body on the line for your team means... :thumbsu:

Dumb-Arses must go!
Classic post :D:thumbsu:

Suban looks like a future captain.

Finaly someone said the C word! Suban has Captain (way, way in the future, love ya Pav) written all over him. He's played nearly every minute of every game this year and instead of being out on his feet he just digs deeper and gets better every week. Love him! And a massive thumbs up to our recruiters who brought us Jay Van Berlo, 5th round ROOKIE pick up. Well done you guys!!

JVB's game was definitely a positive. Showed great balance and ball handling skill in tight situations. Disposal was good and manged to put himself in dangerous positions as far as the opposition were concerned.

1. We won. Great for our young kids to get that feeling of a win!!
2. Ruffles goal. Freo goal of the year so far IMHO.
3. Great games from the kids, especially Van Berlo, Ruffles, Suban, Hill
4. Sandi's back!!
5. We didn't pull either Hase or Taz even though they were clearly below 100% fit - no-one can accuse us of tanking.
6. The one percenters - great effort from Taz, Pav, Dodd, Broughton, Pearce, Frodo, Suban and Hill to keep doing the little things off the ball, especially the little things that take courage, guts and passion.
7. Pav's 8 tackles -
8. We win yet another derby over the Slime.
9. For yet another week - heaps of other Horde posters on here also find positives from the game!! That's what I'm talking about, Willis!!

But most of all...

10. SIX in the circle!! How awesome is that!!?!??

I just love looking at our team knowing how much better we are with a full list.

I didn't notice how effective and damaging Stephen Hill was until I watched the replay. Suban, Tarrant, Broughton and Duffield almost always make the right decision coming out of defense, throw Hayden in that backline and we have a hell of a fortress back there for the next two years.

I actually think he was carrying something.

Very reluctant to kick in the second half.

It may have been in yesterday's paper, or an article online, but I read that he had blurred vision from about mid-2nd quarter onwards. Probably from that knock he got when going for that sliding mark that wasn't paid as a free kick.

Pav actually looked fit on the weekend. I think prior to that he had been playing with a couple of niggles, he was dynamite on the weekend.

Wow - blurred vision, not really kicking like normal and yet he racks up a career high 36 disposals!!

Imagine what he'd be able to do if he's fully fit for a whole game??!! Or, maybe he should play with blurred vision every game??
