Do you think we should target David Hale. He can play both Ruck/Forward and has good skills on him. I think we should go for him as at the moment Kangas are chock a block full of talls at the moment. Your Thoughts?

No thanks, he's soft at the center bounces, lost up forward and a big zero around the ground.

What would you give for Hale?
Wouldnt take Lonie and Egan i dont think as all Lonie can do is kick and Egan hasnt shown much. What else?

And what can Hale do, he has had a shitload more time than Egan and hasn't shown much himself.

Much prefer Moran can play Ruck forward, back or midfield and is young more upside

What would people think about Jeff White from Melbourne? He was mentioned in a Robert Walls article this morning as possible trade bait for the Demons.

He'll probably never come up for trade but if he did and we didn't have to give up the world for him I'd think it'd be a short term answer to a lot of our problems.

He's 30 and probably has at least 3-4 decent seasons left which would give us a chance to get and develop a ruckman through the draft. And Melbourne would be looking for draft picks rather than players so chances are we wouldn't have to give up a young gun for him.

I'd go for it, if it ever came up.

At the right price yes. But what is the right price.

that won't happen he is to old doesn't fit our new criteria,a trade would have to be under 25 but i think we will draft a young ruckman or rookie one and retain the ruckmen we have what is richards contract situation does anyone know. hit outs are over rated last night the clearences would have at least been even yet sandilands won the bulk of the hit outs.

Hale? Maybe but...
1) See how Bryan and Richards go with more games under belt.
2) What is this years draft like and is it woth giving them up for an older ruckman. Even a half decent draft pick is worth more than a 28 YO ruck.
3) What about Williamstown and Dawes and co, if they come through even half decent we will have a smorgasboard of bigs to compete all around the ground.
4) Start putting more time in to Cloke and Rocca as rucks, yes that may disrupt the forward line but depending on the situation they should be able to ruck much more effectively than they do, depends on fwd structure and game plan of course.
5) Will we really need him that much, the ruck has only really cost us maybe 1 game this year (Dogs), although that wasn't the only thing.

No more Rocca in the ruck, nor Trav. The Ruck problems have to be fixed by Ruckmen, not Grant Thomas solutions

A hard-nut Ruckman (Bryan but better) is what is needed to support Fraser. Go hard at Charman, Jamar, Paul Johnson. Dont go beanpole like Hale, they just cant compete

I'd be happy to offer our first round pick (probably 10-14 ish area) for a really decent ruckman.
Someone like Charman or Woods

I would too if we could get a ruckman under 25 years of age. Losing 1 quality pick would be offset by having a good ruckman for 8-10 years. I would be happy to compromise for that.

I'd look at Meyer from Willi. The games I've seen he's shown promise.

Charman is not leaving! All Brisbane supporters say he along with Brown and Black are the most important for Brisbane. Plus he has a successful business in Brisbane, why would he leave

I'll keep hale thanks. Same age as McIntosh who has really come on this year, which has meant hale hasn't had as big a role but he has been battling injury as well. He's coming along nicely for a ruckman.
