I think polak, kelly and gardiner is all carlton should be interested in. Polak would strengthen our defense so we can stop other teams piling on goals against us, be great alongside walker sentanta whitnall thorton.. kelly to bring a solid preformer into our midfield... and gardiner to help out bryan and to succede french.blueheart said:This thread may have been already done but other club boards are discussing trades so I thought why not bring it up!
Some names mentioned so far and my thoughts on trading for them:
Michael Gardiner ( would consider possibly PSD draft or 3rd rnd pick)
Jason Akermanis ( stated he would not play for Blues and feeling is mutual)
Nick Davis ( cant see him returning to Melbourne but would consider him if available for maybe a 2nd rounder and fringe player)
Graham Polak ( baggage or not we NEED defenders, would offer 2nd pick(19) providing we still get priority pick at 17)
Paul Medhurst ( possibly interested if he came cheaply)
James Kelly ( would be very keen maybe for Houlihan and late pick)
Chris Tarrant ( not needed with Fev, Kennedy, Waite, Fisher already establishing our future forward line)
Peter Everitt ( too old would not touch would prefer Gardiner)
Darren Gaspar ( see Peter Everitt )

Either your source is having you on, or you are having us on. There is no way Hay will be on any AFL list after this season. He is totally unviable as an AFL player and may ultimately cost Laidley his job.Blue Boys11 said:A good source told me that Carlton are trying real hard to get Jonathon Hay.
