I dont want to trade green but considering he is turning 28 and this would give us another first round pick.

I've said from the outset that I'd be happy to keep Green. And I still would.

BUT... if he wants to go and we get Pick 16 in return, then I'd be happy with that. Gives us some very good picks, although you would assume that something like Pick 19 would be sent to Freo to try and snare Warnock. But it would give us Picks 1, 16 and 17 which is very handy indeed.

We all know that we are still 3-4 years away and by that time Green will almost 32 years old. Might hurt at first but it's a good move long term.

Stoked with that. Like most i'd be happy to keep Green, but i think this is a risk we need to take.

There's no guarantee that it'll work out for us, but we need to take some calculated risks. This could end up being a massive win for us, if it helps us secure Warnock and he delivers on his potential & we get a good player for the pick then we'll definitely have been the biggest winners.

How do you figure the Swans do better out of that one. They still get pick 16 for O'Keefe yet they give up pick 12 for Green, it works out a worse for Sydney.

I can't see that one happenning, it seems bit of a stretch that Green is worth pick 16, they wouldn't give up the more valueable pick.

I think that the swans loose out massively from that deal. I think for that deal to go through the hawks would have to give up a player as well to the Swans.

I would be pissed off if we effectively traded ROK for Green. I know Green is a good footballer but he is the same age as ROK and not as good.

The Hawks are the major winners in the deal.

1) Green is a superstar whereas O'Keefe isn't
2) Green is few months younger than O'Keefe
3) Green played 186 games comparing to O'Keefe 164, that is 1 season more experience than O'Keefe.

Therefore Green deserve to be 4 Picks above O'Keefe, that is Pick 12 than Pick 16.

I heard on SEN tonight and also read this on the online news on my 3 phone.

The deal that is looking likely at the moment is

Hawthorn give pick 16 to Sydney who then onwards that pick to Melbourne for in exchange for Brad Green.

No bulls**t.
