Hopefully he's more Pendlebury than Osborn for our sake.Yea, but he was an awesome player, not trying a new sport!

Have no problem with us taking punts on these guys. Cat B rookies don't cost anything to get in, nothing to lose in grabbing them.Hopefully he's more Pendlebury than Osborn for our sake.
Don't think he is as good as you are talking him up to be. Besides, he is a small/medium forward. Do we have a need for him? Who would he displace? Does he have scope for midfield? I'd only consider him if he came cheap.Dude just stop now.
Menzel is in another universe to Kerridge. Kerridge is just a hard working athlete, he's not as skilled as you are talking him up to be and does not have the poise, the silky-ness or the class of a player like Menzel.
It's like trying to compare Stevie J and Joel Corey for example. Both great players and no knock on Corey for the player he was, but Stevie J is just a freak of nature.
Id take Osborne as a normal Rookie.Hopefully he's more Pendlebury than Osborn for our sake.

Must have been a good offer to get him out of basketball, or he just didn't want it anymore since he didn't get drafted into the NBA. He tried out with the Utah Jazz, but didn't get anywhere. He could make decent money if he wanted to go off to Europe to play ball.Id take Osborne as a normal Rookie.
What makes you so sure its Adelaide hes going to? sounds like Collingwood are interested too.
So if you do freakish stuff that only 1% of players can do you're automatically a better player? That's horrible logic...
That's like comparing Burton because he could sit on blokes shoulders to Edwards. Stop living in a reality world, I'm not saying Menzel won't be better but the bloke at the beginning said he'd trade the two in a straight swap in a heartbeat and that's just complete stupidity "dude just stop".
I'd trade Kerridge for Yarran heartbeat.
I'd trade Kerridge for Menzel in a nano second, end of.
Again, no knock on Kerridge, will be happy if he stays. But he's a relatively stock standard player. Talents like Menzel and Yarran don't come along this often, let alone potentially this cheap.
He could probably be that LeCras/Wingard type in our forward line and probably wouldn't disrupt the balance too much. My concerns are his history of injuries and the assets we would have to forfeit to obtain him, especially considering our forward line is operating smoothly ATM as it is. I would much rather pursue other options that address real weaknesses (outside speed, key defender) and persist with guys like McGovern and Ramsey who could play a similar role.I'm not necessarily saying we have a need for him, but Menzel's potential is right up there don't worry, he is just one of those guys with freakish talent. It's only been tip of the ice berg stuff right now from him. Coming off a wrecked knee and then playing for a rabble club where he has constantly been unsettled and wanting to leave, don't expect to see too much.
And yes he has scope for midfield. But if we did get him, as another poster has said he would round out our forward 6 nicely alongside Tex, Jj, Lynch, Eddie and Cameron. Has that ability to take a mark on the lead like a genuine forward but also has freakish skills similar to a crumbling small.
Again as someone said, think Wingard, but I think Menzel could be even better than Chad. Big call I know, but the kid has talent.
Pretty sure he was meant to go very high up in the draft, but based on both he and his brothers knee trouble a lot of clubs steered clear.
His endurance when fully fit is elite, that's one facet he is definitely not stock standard, his disposal by foot is pretty bloody good too.....his main problem is getting fit and staying injury free.

Having said all that I would trade Kerridge for him in a heartbeat but the very idea of that happening is ludicrous because Carlton would never go for it.
So by saying that I'm assuming I'm a "fanboi" simply because I believe one young player has more upside than another? Okay.... lel

No. Your opinion is biased. It is by definition biased to your way of thinking.
Every opinion is biased.
The only thing unbiased is "fact" and there is not enough exposed form at AFL level to establish any fact.
His opinion is biased.
So is yours.

Hi Bigfooty, I'm Sanders. I am the only person in the history of the world to have an obective opinion. Oh, I'm also always right. My other talents include walking on water, turning water into wine and making perfectly seasoned fried chicken. I'm pretty good, just ask me.
He injured himself mucking around at Bounce which makes it even more stupid.Grigg would still be in the team now if he didn't hurt himself during the week off.

Think that's what he fed the club.I thought he tripped over a curb while doing landscaping?
Yarran & Carlton have effectively agreed to part ways. How will Yarran and Menzel.come cheap?
Both are contracted players, Carlton will state that they are required and regardless of being dropped both have obvious talents
They will not come cheap, Carlton's strategy is to load up on high picks and that's what they will be demanding
Got a feeling Grigg may be the type of player we consider trading if the deal is right. He injured himself mucking around at Bounce which makes it even more stupid.
