Would you prefer it if Buckley bagged his team?

For a while ive thought there was some personal hate against Buckley from this board, but generally i think people are spoiled, impatient and want perfection or give the players and coach the arse.

Our effort all year has been excellent. Our skills improving, our luck and forward line have been the biggest things against us. Funny how much luckier teams are with good forward lines tho...easily rectifiable, in Elliot and Reid, we become a lot more dangerous.

Im starting to enjoy our team, we are in it every week, and as a supporter, that is something u can look forward to.

Aish had Many Friends like that in 2nd Half

Dave I am not bagging him if that's what you think..........I thought he played well today mate.

bad luck guys, i was laughing and couldn’t believe at the umpiring , it was so biased. I cant remember so many holding the balls paid against you , and yet melb got away with everything

cant help it think it had something to do with the occasion and to try and get the dees the win

pies should have won

Of course I don't like missing finals but can actually see what this side is started to look like, another 12 months and finals beckon, shame you won't be a member to enjoy it.
Am I a member? Only been one for the last 12 years. But thanks for asking

Thats good you are a member of this great club, as l have been a member for some 17 years l deserve a opinion like yourself, and my opinion is that mediocrity is good enough for this club right now, but not for me, as a member l expect to see changes happening next year in order to show that the club is serious about success Right now Carlton will play finals before we do....

I disagree but I will watch the replay just the same...........I thought Shazzas game was good.

I also thought Aish had a great first half then went MIA in the second.

Do you think Pendles has leg speed?

Pendles? Am i blind? No he is close to slow for a midfielder. If Scahrenberg was a mid able to do what pendles can do i would care less. Pendles had more tackles today than scharenberg has had in his career as well. I agree Scharenberg has class and poise, but can he smother desperately like Maynard and Langdon did today?

Aish is a little different, i think if he was stronger in his body he could be a good solid B grade midfielder, but i worry his lack of core strength will be his downfall.

One thing I've noticed about this team over the years. When the game is on the the line, none of our players take the game by the scruff of the neck and win it for us.Pendlebury doesn't do it,Treloar doesn't do it,Sidebottom doesn't do it.We just seem to lack that match winning player who can take a great mark on the forward line or kick a great goal in the dying minutes of the game. It's always hard, laborious work for us,but there's never anyone there who can do that inspirational stuff that wins you these close games.
Enter Dusty Martin.....he's there if we really want him!

And that's why I will always rate Swanny higher than Pendles.

Get stuffed. Pendles has done it dozens of times, and in finals. He was tagged and had 22 and 13 tackles. Give the guy a break.

We will play finals this year.
Once your angry pills have worn off go and watch the last 5 weeks. But unlike the umpires watch it with no bias.
The team is moving forward, the game plan is slowly coming together and when executed the team is playing some exciting football.

Oh and I will give you a tip that you can take to the bank.
We will smash Port in a fortnight.
Adams will be filthy on himself and have a blinder.
Pendles will be filthy on himself and play a blinder.
The team will be filthy they got robbed and have a blinder.
Lock it in

Great player. But I can't ever remember him winning us any of those close matches we've had in recent years, that's all the point I was trying to make.

I thought Brown did enough to get another game or two, looks to have something

Wasn't overawed at all, did some nice things and threw his body about in some pretty hard fought contested situations. Definitely something he can build on.

You must have missed Pendles almost single-handedly winning us the Hawthorn game from 43 points down then.

Normally I would agree with this. Normally I find the umpire bashing or blaming cringe worthy.
Not today. I mentioned it in another thread and I will repeat it here. It was the first time in my life where I have watched a game and honestly believed there was some cheating going on. I am not using it as an excuse for the loss, despite the fact that it was the main reason we lost. I am just saying that there was a clear bias in the umpiring today.
There was a Adelaide Fitzroy game in Adelaide years ago there was blatant unabashed cheating in that game was at the game today there was no fight from us after half time the usual duds you expect to let us down well let us down.

I know you guys are pissed off at some parts, but just want to come in and praise how your midfield strategised the clearance situations in the first half. Grundy basically named a spot where the ball was going, and the close mids all blocked off the spot for about a half second while he palmed in then sprinted, giving you an edge in both first to the pill and numbers at the ball and setting you up brilliantly. It was a really simple and effective setup that let you really damage from the clearance, basically how you guys did so well in Q2.

and I think you guys did that with Grundy in the 2nd Half. Knowing where it was going and you where there before a Collingwood Player was

I
Could of afforded him if we didn't blow the kit and kaboodle on Mayne and old man wells
Well we certainly knew this time last year Dusty would be entering this year as his final year of his contract as an FA. Hope we still can afford a crack at him.

Bit harsh on Pendles mate. He quite often steps up to the plate.
Other than that I generally agree with you that we don't have enough players who do.

Who's coming out of contract at Collingwood at the end of the year? They should be afraid, very afraid.

What game are you referring to? Today? I've just watched the replay & Crisp gave away 6 goals from turnovers or poor effort
Yep gave up one in front of me thru lack of effort ,also noticed in the last played to far off their fwd opponents and couldn't make up the ground on leads Shaz Dunn they were all guilty failed to man up real amateurish stuff.

Yes,i probably was a bit harsh on him.Just was a bit disappointed in his game today.I know he can play so much better than that.
