Huge rumblings around these parts about dangerfield looking to come back !

Anything being mentioned or rumoured in sa.

:D, not even Caro has cracked onto that one. Wishful thinking on the part of some Victorians. If he actually wanted to return to Vic (something he hasn't actually expressed any interest in) then the only team that he would be interested in would be Geelong (personal family connection). ATM their hasn't even been a rumour on the guy despite a BF speculation an a bogus "Before the Game" interview. Complete faith that he will resign next year he loves the club and is looked at as a future captain in the years to come:thumbsu:.

Rumblings around these parts don't mean shit but then again I wouldn't expect anything less.

O'Meara is the best available, something IMO that you should always go hard for. I am a big Kennedy fan but he comes in as sloppy seconds to what O'Meara could provide to the team he ends up at. That said would be extremely happy if we ended up with Kennedy. Don't be too put off by the current exodus of players, we have faced extraordinary circumstances (new teams with money) that have affected these player movements. Gunston is really the only exception to this but he is just one player
O'meara has stated he wants to stay in perth, if that doesnt sound like a Judd situation in 5 years time I dunno what does.

Kennedy could be our next home grown superstar.

You see this is where you have let yourself down, for 1 sec of macho glory that you may believe you have acheived all you have done is made me understand than i really need to be a little more simpler with you !

So here we go, there is rumours around that patrick dangerfield wants to come home & probably will in the next few years.
Lot of similarities to the Mitch Clark situation here , last year he wanted out and Brisbane could of demanded what they wanted Fast Foward 1 year.

Mitch is out of contract and demanding where he wants to go , restricting brisbanes bargaining power or shall i say result for compensation.

Today if Adelaide was prepared to trade dangerfield e.g to Richmond you could demand pick 14 & Compo pick ......... AND GET IT

Next year out of contract and Danger says .............. Geelong
Thats where you have a problem and are at the mercy of other clubs

Now lets see if we can post like adults rather than swear like a child !

Stop trolling mate.

Bradley Helbig - make it happen AFC :)

This Kid had Courage & Determination and is very highly rated at punt road. Last year Jackson and Cameron couldnt believe that he was available at our pick and essendon were spewing as they had him pencilled in with their next pick.

Ironicaly we selected Bradley with the pick that the bombers knocked back for Houli :D

Adelaide, Fremantle, Bulldogs and Melbourne will have new coaches. I have doubts new coaches will be doing unforced player trading after just being appointed.

So I have doubts that a Gunston -> Howard type trade is feasible. I also doubt the Crows new coach would be that keen on a mediocre player or list clogger as a 'sweetener'. A club will either value someone and want them or they wont.

I think if North are after Gunston then the trade will be something like 1st and 4th round pick or 1st and 3rd and we may throw 2nd and the other one at someone else, depending on how strong other offers are for him. More shots in the draft will likely appeal more to a new coach imo who would have his own ideas about the kind of players he wants at the club.

Our pool of picks may also expand if someone like a McIntosh decides he would like to take the Hale path or if GWS manage to convince someone to leave or if GC have someone in mind from our club to get in for experience. Given Warren/Urquhart are QLDers and are solidly built mature players they might be of interest to GC.

But, I think the Crows would be more interested in picks than player swaps.

Dangerfield has repeatedly stated he wants to stay at Adelaide. He loves it here.

The only reason any rumours were started was because Dangerfield was a known staunch supporter of Craig, and now Craig is gone. That doesn't mean he's going to leave, but somehow the rumours have taken on that tone.

Even if he says he doesn't want to go and will be a one club player and sign for 5 years there will still be rumours of returning to home. Because he gave some vague hint that he wouldn't mind returning home some day the media add 2 and 2 together and come up with 22. Probably like Pav, Griff and others have copped.

:thumbsu: Good Post. On Griff, I think that we would love to have him but most of us accept the fact that he will never leave the WB, unfortunate for us. Danger will not go and there has been no legitimate evidence to suggest otherwise other than those rumours stirred up by people with an interest in bring him back to Victoria. He will stay with us to become an important leader and focal point of the club's future, not worth discussing any further...

The last sentence would have more weight if you weren't such a ******** in the first paragraph.

You're on OUR board, pull your head in.

You're always welcome on our board with quality posts like that Tas. Other posters should take note.

Good to see logical thinking, Tas.:thumbsu:.

A while back I suggested that we look at Tate Silverlock. He has been delisted by Essendon. So I now I think he should be invited train with the club once we return from the break and see how he goes.

What's wrong with having a Judd situation? Do WCE supporters now regret picking up Judd at pick 3? F**** no! They won a friggin' premiership off his back! Besides, they did pretty well out of him on trade table too, IIRC Kennedy, Masten (pick 3) and Shuey (pick 20).

If we were to do similar out of O'Meara, then I'd do it in an instant.

Jessie O'Brien-seems intriguing, I will keep an eye on him. He seems rather light, a good preseason or 2 could solve that. Would anyone that has seen him play care to comment?

Taite Silverlock- appears to be light on his feet, little bit of a Symes "up and under" kicking style (but that can be worked on), reasonable footy IQ. Generally seems to be an interesting prospect.

Justin Bollenhagen- I haven't really seen enough to make a judgement. How are his intangibles? Could you compare him to someone on the list? His measurements all seem good but that isn't always a good indicator.

These are good suggestions:thumbsu:. Does anyone else have someone in mind? They don't have to just be young players, mature aged players or players starved of opportunities would also be interesting to discuss:footy:.

:thumbsu:Yes, I was keen on him as well. Would not be against getting him as a rookie listing. The kid might not be a star but I think we should definitely check him out. Who knows? Curnow turned out alright for Carlton before his loss of form towards the end of the year.

Andrew Jarman reckons the Crows are looking at Didak. I wouldnt mind it if the deal was right. If playerd 90% out of a pocket could kick 40+.

Don't believe it personally, will be turning 29 next year so I can't see why we would want him when we are trying to move forwards. Also can't see why Didak would want to leave Collingwood considering he loves the Pies and they are having plenty of success at the moment.

Sandersons first job is to sit down and have a serious talk with Tippett and get him to either sign an extension to his contract or negotiate a deal with the suns for pick 4.

If he choses to go home we get Sa captain Wingard obviously. Then we trade Maric for the bock compo pick then ontrade that with Gunston for an established key forward, priority one would be Chris Dawes, or even a gun SA player from any victorin club like a Griffen or Varcoe

Seriously, why Didak?

He's a player that has always relied on talent over his off-field work and now he's getting on a bit and his body isn't as fit as it was he's being found out.

Not to mention where we are at as a club and our needs.

Im not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet but apparently chris dawes is not happy at collingwood and the word going around melb is that he may be traded.

my friend who lives in melbourne has heard that buckley is keen on gungston for next year.

i think dawes is a great replacement if we lose gungston or tippet.

what does everyone else think?
