Not doing anything to dispel my theory that Canada is actually sholly...
If the owner and principal of Maplebet (now in administration) was the person in question every VAFA club would be lining up for a refund of their exorbitant affiliation fees as the said character spends most of his waking hours on Big Footy.

Word is the Uni Derby will be played at Uni Oval. Hope it's true for both clubs' sake.

If neither Uni team actually train on the oval, why does it turn in to a quagmire year after year?

Most other grounds would have training and or games on their's nearly every day of the week.

Just watched the tragics at lunch and thought I'd jump on for the first time in a while. Applaud the decision but do query why it has taken so, SKOB were required to move home grounds in 2006 due to the ground not being up to it. The Uni oval has been a disaster for a long period of time. Proximity has meant I have watched almost all of the SKOB games there, most of which have been somewhat ruined by appalling conditions. Given there are so many ovals nearby, its a mystery its taken so long.

Was hoping the Dela could have snuck into the finals to have someone to cheer for but alas no such luck. Trinity would have to be the neutrals choice given their underdog status and heart breaker last year.

FWIW I still get a chill when I hear a shrill of "Go Ts" from a middle aged woman in beige pants and a navy blue turtleneck, but I do admire the way they play and are coached. Digressing, interesting that the 4 teams in Premier finals all have home grown coaches. All 5 of them to be exact.

Can't see why not.

It's looking fantastic right now apparently

Understand its not up to Canada's standard, but it's not too shabby this morning.

Like the game was ever going to be played anywhere else.

HQ just wanted to save face by making it look like moving the Xavs game wasn't a one off and they "care about the welfare of all players".

Did the VAFA organise an independent ground inspection last week or did they just move it because they chose to?

Sholly moved it because he wants a good outfield for the cricket season. The former captain coach of Uni was a very talented cricketer. Just ask him.

Great result if the oval has improved enough for the game to be played there.
Just like last week was a great result for player safety.
Everyone should be happy. I know we..I mean I am.

FWIW all Ammo players from the club they played at, not on $60k

Wouldnt most be "home grown"? What they are paid doesnt decree whether they are home grown or not. I have a feeling $30K. would be the bench mark. Maybe a bit over for one or two, but $60K??

Do you have any names??................

We asked for a ground change a few years ago in Div 3. Ammos drove past Mt Lilydale ground and said it was ok.A bog heap!6

Gutted at today's results.
Please nobody come on and give me any grief or stirring. It's just hard enough. Well done Scribe...

Get over yourself. Take the view that nothing has changed for Old Xavs since this morning. At that time, they needed to win three games against top 4 teams to win the flag. They still do.

Something has changed-they now need to win three finals in a row.

FWIW so the Ts finish on top. Still alarmed at the experts on here that wrote them off early. If they make the GF they win it's that simple. They play a well drilled fast and fit game that won't get beaten this year at Optus Oval. They need to get there first.

1 point. The margin of the Rd 6 game between DLS and Uni Blacks ultimately decided 4th place as a reversal of that result would see the bellers in action next week. After such an ordinary 2nd half probably don’t deserve a spot but still disappointing to finish 5th. Club needs to improve its depth before 2017 as they were exposed when the inevitable injuries kicked in.

After losing 2 flags in the last 3 years I really hope the T’s get the job done this year. A good club who go about things the right way.
