Here's a very uneducated guess at a ladder.

St Bede's/Mentone 14 wins
Beaumaris 13 wins
Old Brighton 13 wins
Fitzroy 11 wins
Old Scotch 11 wins
Monash Blues 9 wins
Ajax 9 wins
Parkdale 7 wins
Hampton Rovers 6 wins
Old Haileybury 3 wins

Brian, as a parkdale local I am disappointed you didn't rate their chances higher.

Only slightly uneducated. Love to know where you got the extra 6 wins haha seeing as there are only 90 wins in the season. But apart from that it's a fair guesstimate.

I'll have another uneducated guess:
St Bedes 14 wins
Old Scotch 14 wins
Beaumaris 13 wins
Old Brighton 11 wins
AJAX 9 wins
Fitzroy 9 wins
Parkdale 7 wins
Monash Blues 5 wins
Hampton 4 wins
Old Haileybury 4 wins

Looks to be a very competitive comp this year without SKOB's. No real easy games I would imagine.

Watched a bit of Old Brighton and Beauy on Saturday looked pretty even- final scores?

Ladder for me
St Bedes
Scotch
Beauy
Brighton
Parkdale
Fitzroy
Monash
AJAX
Old Haileybury
Hampton

Swap parky and scotch and I agree !

SBMT Vs Beauy GF for mine

I can see Scneider and Milne will be more trouble than they will be worth at Beauy. Dont mean "mucking up" but
a distracting factor to good team harmony. Sure they willl kick a few goals. If they start missing games to play country footy during the season for $$s it will be a disaster...... A stunt they tried last year with Milne and came a "gutsa"...

Where would the Premier B Grand Final be played at? Ikon Park, Carlton, or Trevor Barker Oval, Sandringham (and by the way, I reckon TBO has the best playing surface in Australia outside the MCG.)?

Do I detect your love affair with Ikon to be fading Jase?

What's your opinion of the proposed development at your least favourite ground?

AM,
I might be in the minority here, but I have seen minimum 100 finals there over the last 3 decades and I have quite enjoyed the wind. Teams having to score when they have it and defend hard against. Some incredible tactics by astute players and coaches and some mind boggling efforts by nuffies. More often than not the cream has risen.
It's the facilities that I have detested. The scummy rooms and toilets and bar/function area.
Fix all of this and I'm happy.
But I'm sure most hate the wind and see it as unfair.

I prefer TBO. But that can be windy too. Superior viewing and atmosphere and the surface is usually in better nick. Having a social club has its attractions too.;)

That said, I agree with you the facilities are the main issue at Sportscover. They are terrible. Particularly the change rooms which are a disgrace.

You talk about incredible tactics at Sportscover Arena, Canada. None more so than in the 2008 VAFA Premier Grand Final when the skipper of St Bedes Mentone Tigers who won the toss decided to kick against the wind, which was worth 4-5 goals at the Elsternwick Golf Links end. His decision to go against the breeze was questioned by Michael Sholly, the VAFA CEO and the MoC (Master of Ceremonies). St Bedes Mentone Tigers decision was vindicated when they won their third straight premiership.

OS easily accounted for by Balwyn on the weekend. No one would be surprised by that. The only Club in the Eastern League with a salary cap determined by the AFL. OS will be there abouts come GF day. They will be young and enthusiastic with a smatter of some VFL returnees.

Where did you get that information from FF?

Way off the mark there.

Sorry FF I misread your post.

Missed the "by" part.

I believe OS will really have to fight if they are to make top 4. So I won't expect them to be there come September.

Could only see St Bedes and Beauy ahead of them. They were 4 games clear of Beauy last year, who have they lost to warrant the drop from A to middle of B?

WG, I agree. The standout "out" would be Strauss. Plus maybe another 3 top 10s. Having said that they have gained some VFL returns.
Not household names but obviously can play. Cant see them finishing less than 3rd..
