Couple bad losses in last few weeks for Monash indicates to me poor leadership/ coaching, hopefully they can turn it around in the next few weeks and push for finals. Best is good enough to push for promotion

Moderator - quick question, how do I give thumbs down?

Ashes the sleeping giants? Sure

Lack of leadership or coaching? Nah mate.

Fitzroy v Old Brighton - Brighton will be on from the start after nearly dropping last weeks game. OB by 50 points.
Old Carey v Ajax - Probably the most important game of the round. If Carey lose this game they are well and truly finishing bottom 3. On the other hand, AJAX would love to stay 2 games clear of Monash, or even 3 if Monash lose. I think Carey have more to play for. Carey by 7 points.
Mazenod v Peninsula - Mazenod pumped them last time playing away, I think it will be the same story at home. Mazenod by 40.
Monash v Old Scotch - This is the only other game of substance this week. Monash will be filthy after snatching defeat from the jaws of victory last week. They also need this win to stay in touch with AJAX for that 4th spot. They are a darkhorse, and I wouldn't want to come up against them in the 2nd Semi. Then we have Scotch who have been chugging along nicely. They would want to win to maintain the 6 point gap between themselves and the snow dogs. I think Scotch will be on their game after not waking up until the 3rd quarter last time these two teams met. OS by 15 points.
Parkdale v St Bernards - Parkdale are much better at home, however, they won't win this. St Bernards by 37 points.

If Monash don't win this week they will see their season begin to slip away and will always talk about the 2017 that could have been. Disappointing would be an understatement. Senior players and leaders need to step up if they are any chance against the Scotchies, who are a class unit.

Would be pretty painful for the Ashes' coach to see their season go pear shaped at the hands of the club he coached into Premier B a couple of years ago.

A bit of spice in this one for sure!

Definitely get the choccies last week with a couple more experienced leaders. Also not likely to drop games to the bottom side with stronger leaders. Can't fast track experience though.

Monash v Brighton was a great game of quality ammo footy. Tomorrow vs Scotch the same I hope. Monash wins with a terrific back six and a forward line which will score heavily given the opportunity.

Big sling tackle report for Parkdale #8 gun. Knocked Bernards player out. Will get weeks.

Chuck Dillon. As a kid was looking as good as many around him at the Dragons who got drafted. Def a gun. Haven't seen incident but nobody gets off at the tribunal. Willl be missed. PV obviously kicked inaccurately. Were you impressed by them Bagman?

Yep. They are better than a relegation candidate Canada. Hard to say who will join Peninsula and go down.
