Thought the Ashes were gone at 3/4 time. Not many on the bench and looking tired. Brave and skilful last term. Joe Harrison very good. Good day at BSO with big crowd.

Old Brighton to keep the streak alive.
Monash Blues in form so hard to argen against.
Snowdogs to roll on after almost caven in against Scotchies.
Vultures to win.
The Roys over the Panthers in the hardest to pick for me in a close one.

Old Scotch v Old Brighton - Old Scotch will be filthy after dropping the points to the snowdogs in the last quarter, however, the task doesn't get any easier coming up against numero uno. Brighton should win by 15.....ish.

Old Carey v Fitzroy - Old Carey are stringing a few good games together despite going down last week in the final 10 minutes of the game. Should be too good for Fitzroy.

Peninsula v Monash - I'm afraid that Peninsula won't win a game before the bye week. Going down to Parkdale by 10 goals isn't a good thing. Monash by 50.

Ajax v St Bernards - This should be quite a good game. St Bernards fought hard to get a W last week, while Ajax dominated Mazenod. I'll be taking St Bernards as they will want to close in on that 2nd spot come Saturday night.

Parkdale v Mazenod - Hmmmmmm. This is a massive game for Parkdale. They sit even with Carey on points, however, Carey have the talent to move up the ladder. They need to win this game so that they can avoid going 2 games back on the ladder.

Great effort by pirates. Likewise Fitzroy. I think the banging on about Carey's talent needs to settle 3 wins from last 26 games. That tells a tale.

Very easy explanation, Walrus, if you are up with tertiary education. It was the middle weekend of a semester break.
Although, the Pirates finally brought their A game to the contest.
Nah Rissoles, no excuses. Pirates more desperate.

3 changes from a side that won by 40 the week before. Playing against a side that hadn't looked like winning...

Semester break or not I expected them to take a jump this year. Their best is clearly good enough, their worst, you can decide for yourself.

I hope they have their players back as they've turned next game against Parkdale into a massive one.

Peninsula were bound to get a W at some stage. Good for them. They have shown glimpses throughout the season so far without a result. Monash are in trouble. When you are middle of the pack you need to win those games. Can't make finals for mine.

According to Canada they're a lock.

I think my account was hacked for that crazy post. Or at least altered. I'm having the Mods look into it. I remember saying they were crocks..and now suddenly it reads..locks. Something fishy going on.
The Mark Williams bandwagon certainly gathering some momentum and passengers currently.
It has also been a big morning of beard manicuring in the Fitzroy and surrounding areas. This normally coincides with the Roy's being up and about.

it looks like scotchies have developed some steel this year.

a trip to the snake pit is never easy and to nearly get them was not a bad effort.

it looks like they were jumped by the flag favourites yesterday but fought back to nearly pinch the game.
I'd say that they gave the game away against St Bernards last week. Up 16 points kicking with a breeze in the last. This weekend they were down 20 points with 10 minutes to go so they did fight hard until the end but that's 2 points from 2 weeks, nothing to be too impressed by.

No excuses for Monash. Had the players on the park to get the job done but failed. It's fine to be young and have potential but some consistency is required!! No doubt a happy rissoles.
