You guys have some bad sources, OH did I very good job against SBM leading at half time and Disco isn't our number 1 ruckman

Also look for an ex AFL player to playing for OH this weekend

Was able to track down OH coach, and after a bit of squeezing he let it out, Motlop will be making a one guest appearance on Saturday

Tips for Round 1:-

Williamstown vs Marcellin
Monash
vs Old Ivanhoe
Old Camberwell vs Oakleigh
PEGS vs Peninsula
Old Haileyburians
vs Therry Penola

Best of luck for the season to all teams.

Bring on tomorrow at the Frearson, Maxie!! Two new Presidents who are both club legends going head to head!!

Let's have a go at some tips:

Willy at home by a point.
Monash by 3 goals in the match of the day
Krushers but no conviction
PEGs get the points at the runway
Haileybury must have a few left which will be too much for the Therry boys

Les out.

Good start for the season for the Hoes.

Congrats to Chris Naish and the new coaching team.

Rumour is fact- Who has a wedding on the 1st day of season.

Well done to the Hoes. Impressive and well organised.

Yes a Monash player decided today was a good day to get married!! Grrrrr...combined 7 best & fairests missing. Also the skipper and a couple of other starters not around so hopefully better days ahead for the Ashes.

How good the ground Maxie? Best in the comp I reckon.

Pretty Impressed with Marcellin's performance today, young U19 kid Antypas kicked 12, pretty sure the old coach played him on the wing last year, interesting swap to full forward. Clean sweep 1s, 2s & 3s beating Williamstown CYMS

Could not look at live scores on VAFA website today, and cannot get on tonight. Fixtures released in the last week before the season starts. Yet stats being taken for A Grade. Priorities out of alignment, and they need to show their respect for all levels in the competition.

Great ground. Not sure during the wet months.

See you at the Pine later in the year.

Very surprised about the result out at PEGs. What's the story? Pirates good/pegs ordinary?
Pirates very good. A lot quicker then previous years and well organised, PEGS were horrific. Let's see how they respond this week. Pirates are very fit, quicker, well structured. Will know where PEGS sit in a few weeks. Only rd 1 and a long season ahead.

Come on, Les, one game does not a season make! I don't think PEGS were horrific. Pirates have recruited well and got a few top players back.
I don't think PEGS will finish down the bottom.
And thanks for the mail on the wedding debacle, Les, before the round started.
If I'd known, I wouldn't have picked Monash at home!
No impending nuptials this week, I trust?

No all clear this week!! I tipped us as well....

Les

You had too, as I picked OI.

We should be able to discount our teams from the tipping competition.

Anyone who follows Marcellin, gets a real advantage in 2015. Up until the finals that is :)

Interesting s******ing comment Hoe Boy. We'll see what happens this year I guess

Anyone notice that Brett Voss played in OH's 2nd's on the weekend.

Pity help all other 9 clubs when he is fit and in he 1st's.

I told you an ex AFL player would be playing for OH

OH did very well against Penola, they could possibly be a team to beat this year....
