Billy Gowers out. I hear he hated his time there - couldn’t get out of there quick enough. Any truth?Xavs gone...as predicted earlier and Coach unlikely to see the season out......

They are hardly gone. Their Reserves are on top of the ladder with a percentage of 300%. Enviable depth that will come in handy throughout June and July. Others above them on the ladder will have depth tested.Xavs gone...as predicted earlier and Coach unlikely to see the season out......

Xav Richards left for cashAbsolutely, plus the lure of $$$'s up Country...
Gowers went down to Moe to play with mates and probably a bit of cash. I’m not sure he enjoyed his time at Xavs tie year all that much. Seems that Xavs are lacking the top liners they had last year and are playing with a pretty young side. Blooding these kids should hold them in good stead you’d think.Billy Gowers out. We are equal opportunity sackers. We also do it to winning coaches. Keeps everybody sharp. Its a perilous job coaching Xavs and you keep losing.

You seem to take that personally.Even Premiership Coaches...Win the GF one season and get sacked before beginning of next.
Just ask Pat Hawkins.......
Not at all...just treated pretty ordinarily to be honest. What would you call it?You seem to take that personally.
I recall that I thought it was a reasonable decision at the time. May have been a few complicating factors with the co-coach, etc.Not at all...just treated pretty ordinarily to be honest. What would you call it?
I will take your word for it.....I recall that I thought it was a reasonable decision at the time. May have been a few complicating factors with the co-coach, etc.
Yes, I never quite got my head around this one. It seemed that Hawkins and Woodruff scraped into finals, they won three on the bounce including the grand final, then he got the lemonade and sars. Clearly there was more at play.Even Premiership Coaches...Win the GF one season and get sacked before beginning of next.

Isn't it 3 in a row lolYes, I never quite got my head around this one. It seemed that Hawkins and Woodruff scraped into finals, they won three on the bounce including the grand final, then he got the lemonade and sars. Clearly there was more at play.
I know for a fact from a couple of players, that James McDonald, who replaced the co-coaches after the flag, was not that well received by the players due to his belief that they needed to train harder.
I fear for Byrne's coaching tenure if Old Xavs lose this week, I'm sure knives are being sharpened as we speak around the committee table.
3 and 4, or even 3 and 5 doesn't get the slaughtermen excited. You'll have to be a bit more patient.Yes, I never quite got my head around this one. Factor in the the years he has been there with no silverware, very important...
One thing that will certainly outlast Byrne’s tenure is the multitude of opposition supporters’ obsession with Old Xavs. PTSD is real.

Billy kicked 6 on the weekend. I hope he is getting $500 per goal. XXXXAFLBig Billy Gowers off to Moe, wow! All of the fanfare pre-season from the OX lads, there’s something smelly at that club, is it the coach?
Hannebery out for 6 weeks as well.
