Will be Friday night because we are now the #1 ranked team in the finals. Usually the higher team gets the Friday night prelim as a reward and get that extra bit longer rest before the granny.

Sydney will be on the Saturday afternoon.

It might be the other way around due to Sydney beating West Coast. I am not 100 percent sure to be honest.

Anyone else know whether it comes down to the 1 vs 4 winner getting the Friday night final and not about the high qualifying team getting it ?

I am thinking it will be a Friday night game and this would allow channel 10 to show the Sydney vs. Fremantle/Melbourne live into Sydney instead of going up against the rugby.


Had the WCE won, the Swans would have fallen into our half and this would have then been the Saturday night game for the same reason.

I'm coming over for the game and the SANFL 1st/2nd Semi. I was over in 2004 and Port had the friday night so I'd imagine we'll get the same.

I do not think we will be playing our PF on Friday night.

Next week's semifinals in Perth will be Freo v Melbourne on Friday and West Coast v Collingwood/Bulldogs on Saturday as the latter match cannot be played on Friday as it would give Collingwood/Bulldogs only a 5 day break.

So the winning teams get a seven day break, the following week's matches will be Sydney v ? on Friday night and Adelaide v ? on Saturday afternoon.

However, the AFL may program one match on Saturday afternoon and one Saturday evening in which case we will probably be the afternoon match

Yeah very good point. Saturday arvo is fine with me as it won't clash with the SANFL finals anyway, although after South vs Glenelg today anything is possible.

In one way, I'm hoping the Preliminary Final isn't played on a Friday night, cause it's my birthday that day. Although in another way it could be nice if it was; would be an awesome birthday present if we were to win the game and get into another Grand Final.

There we have it. Now its up to every Crows supporters to get to the game, I don't care how, JUST BLOODY DO IT. It will be the last time we see them at AAMI and for the majority it will be their last chance to see the boys this year even if they do make the GF.

Lack of finances would be the only thing preventing me from being there at the game. My spare cash is pretty much non-existent at the moment.

Reports seem that the AFL is going to comfirmed the Time, dates and venues of BOTH Prelims TONIGHT and it appears that the AFL is going give the Swans a 7.30pm Friday Night Prelim at Telstra Stadium. So don't know what the NRL are going to make of that.

I would hardly think that they would play a day prelim in Sydney, and thus we would be likely to get another Saturday afternoon game. It will either be Sydney vs Freo/ Melb on Friday OR Saturday night, Adelaide vs WCE/ WB on Saturday afternoon. (We go alright in Sat afternoon prelims against the Doggies )
