Preseason Draft
Guy Rigoni: The talented, long-kicking midfielder was re-drafted, following a good recovery after surgery on his back during 2002. Rigoni’s return to the Melbourne midfield will be welcome by players and supporters.
Rookie Draft:
Adam Fisher: A hard, inside 180cm midfielder who captained the Victorian Country U18 team. Was selected in the All Australian Squads from the U16 and U18 Championships. Hails from Horsham, and was drafted from the North Ballarat Rebels.
Dale Carson: A mobile 192 cm who has good arial skills. Has had some interruptions with his football due to injury in 2001 and glandular fever in part of 2002.
Ezra Poyas: A midfielder / forward who has been in the system for two years at Richmond. Trained exceptionally well with the Club during November, and is worthy of another chance to player AFL Football.
Nathan Carroll: A 22 year old, strong defender who is renowned for toughness. Drafted from Claremont, comes highly recommended by new Assistant Coach – Mark Riley.
Michael Clark: Dropped off the list after debuting in the final home and away round of 2002, has been re-drafted as a rookie. With lighting pace and tremendous endurance, is worthy of another chance to continue to develop via the rookie system.

) and has always been in their top 5 or 6 players. I'm not so suprised now, that he's found his way on a rookie list, but i was more suprised when I found he had a spot at the draft camp and was being considered by Brisbane ahead of so many others that could've been chosen from the WRFL.
