Pros
-No more Fev issues (alcohol related incidents) off field.
-Improvement in club culture, might increase player motivation, desire to play here & Harmony.
-A FF with a higher offencive work rate.
-Our Fev conscious problem solved, now we will be kicking to the best option.
-completely new forward line functioning, less predictable and other players will have the opportunities as me might kick to them now etc.
-Fevola is old and injuries had already begun, he is probably on the downward slope now. This is what Pagan should have done with Campo, Whitnall etc.
-back in the first round of the draft.
-The CFC has made an excellent statement, the stuff that earns respect.
-The no d***head policy is set, we have shown some serious balls, the message is sent, the discipline requirement is stronger.
-We have a very promising young player who may play hundreds of quality games for Carlton.
-The Salery cap is opened up for the future.
-The opportunity for another player to blossom into a very good tall forward.
-The Lions might not get a lot out of Fev, he's big, heavy, had shoulder, ankle and foot problems, drinks a lot and is nearing 30, at least we have got something for him incase he breaks down. He's crashed and bashed a fair bit, not going to last for ever.
Cons
-losing the AA full forward and coleman medalist.
-losing a great goal kicker.
-uncertainty of who will be our key forwards and how good they will be.
-Paying Fev out.
-Risks of what Henderson and pick 12 will be.
-Fev might play very well For the Lions.
Life After Fev
Who plays Full Forward?
Waite:
This is my choice, has pretty much only had the opportunity to be the main focus up forward a couple of times when Fev was out. At least one of the times he has filled in for Fev he kicked 5. Now has the opportunity to do that and perfect his craft. He's taller, more athletic, harder working, higher leaping and just as quick and creative at ground level as well as having just as good hands. He's got all the credentials to be one of the leagues best tall forwards.
When Waite finds fitness and form he'll be a very very enviable full forward who will be just as good pushing up the ground to CHF.
Henderson:
The great unknown, broke his leg and was still taken at pick 8 by the lions. Obviously very highly rated, as tall as cloke but a much much better mover. The little YouTube package makes him look impressive but only time will tell.
Cloke:
I've never been a fan but I went to see him in the VFL grand final and he did things he has never done before that he so dearly needed to do. That was use his body and hold marks under contact from other players. He did it and did it well and kicked 5. If he can improve his game then he's a chance to make it in the AFL.
Russell:
Probably going to be too valuable in defence when we realise he provides excellent rebounding run and can play very tall and small, but at full forward he might be pretty good. He is 190cm, he can jump, is very quick strong and powerful and is one of the best overhead marks at the club. On a lead there would be no one able to go with him. His kicking is suspect although he did kick a few and improved his kicking at the last 1/4 of the '09 season. Could be dangerous as a leading forward from the goal square, was impressive at CHF until we stoped going to him and took him out of the game, that and his goal kicking needed some serious work then.
Austin:
Just lacks the body strength and was unable to make an impact as we never kicked it to him last year, we kicked it to Fev nearly always. The question is how much will he get out of a big summer in the gym and then how will he go up forward.
Kreuzer:
Probably going to be too valuable in the ruck. But we all know his potential as a forward, still, just needs to body strength. With Warnock rucking and Jacobs/Hampson backing up we have the option of having him up forward permanently.
O'hAilpin
Showed a bit last year, started to take marks until some d***head smashed him in the back. He doesn't miss many goals with the old stutter kick! He's a big boy and can really move. Just doesn't use his body well enough but if he get's it all right, who knows!
For me this is our options in the forward line, bar any other trades.

It's going to be interesting to see how we go but I think losing Fev will improve our mentality when going forward, and we will get more out of all 6 of our forwards where as we got very little out of other forwards.
TBH, bar injuries, I think we are going to be fine.
