They for sale? Wouldn't mind one.

What's the reason behind it?

this, would love to purchase one even if it is just a mutated training ball like the last one i got.

i could be wrong but i think the reason behind it is for vision and it's easier to get the ball on a correct angle for kicking.

Imagine they used them in AFL games.

Would probably be better for the supporters

Not happy they are back so early. No way that turf has knitted together so quickly - i will be fearing the worst for the next 2 - 3 weeks.

with you on that pj. We are well accustomed to something out of left field, throwing a spanner in the works, just when everything was on track...lets hope they have done their homework and the ground is ready, instead of rushing into shit that will derail us.
The last we thing we need is our version of "The Weapon".

I reckon the club should have sold pods of Grass from the old Punt road turf as a fundraiser.... would have saved a bit in removing it too.lol

How awesome was that video.
I'm so pumped, i'm off the couch and headed for a 15km run.:(
Training for a half marathon in a few weeks.
The ground looks fantastic, hopfully it helps the lads play well.
Stig, big thanks for the video, good to see the suits in the middle of the oval taking in all the glory.
Yellow and Black.

Nice footy

We had to get some win from the Gold Coast games.

Ahhh one of my all time favourite threads is back! Just thinkin about PRO today actually...

Stig, any recent feedback from the players and/or coaches re the state of the track? There were a few early calls that it was shifting a bit early on, it looks immaculate now though.

Also any idea when the surrounds of the oval are gonna be completed?

Im noticing a few of the municipal ovals that have been drought proofed have a santa ana type couch, sheesh id love to have played cricket on them as opposed to the goat tracks we played on

Yep that why i thought it was Santa Ana as a lot of the cricket/footy grounds on the peninsula have been upgraded to this, our included.
