Gympie wont need to apply. The league made it clear no repercussions if you didn't go around in 2020.

Sandgate be a safe bet too so smartest thing would be Park Ridge and Alex Hills to South Comp.

This North South stuff doesn’t work, at least with true divisions relegation and promotion generally their is only two pissed off clubs maximum, the other way create too much debate And lop sided comps

Yeah but thats the old chestnut that can never be satisfied. When it was Div 2/3 etc there was complaints about travel - some sides travelled from SC to south Brisb / GC every 2nd week based purely on bad luck as to who was in the comp. The lower the division the harder it is to garner support for blokes to want to give up a whole Saturday to play a game of footy.
TBH I think the north/south comps are logical and yeah, there will be lopsided games and possibly lop sided comps but thats no different to competitions all around Australia. If we are looking for the perfect antidote then we are kidding ourselves bc there will always be someone complaining

The thing that needs to happen is to commit to one set up and stick it out for longer than 12 months.
All the changes doesn't do anyone any favors.
At least if you know your set up for the long term.
You can plan where your club is and where it needs to be.
But that's just my view.

The gap is huge but Swans couldn’t take a flag chock full of panthers players that consistently play div 1 finals.

don’t really add up does it. Almost like Park Ridge being a neighbouring suburb to Sandgate.

What do you consider chock full??

From what I saw Kedron had more players from Caloundra then swans

I wonder if any club from the north/south comp will have a crack at div 1 now that Noosa is gone and vic point going qafl as well The jump won’t be as hard now .

Are Vic point going up or just supplementing Redlands and keeping div 1 side.
If anyone from our comp it would have to be morteon as they have consistently been the club to beat.
If a couple go from south comp.
It will leave it short.
Back to who goes to south from our comp.
You could see this coming from a mile off.

It looks like Redlands and vic point have merged . The QAFL looks like a really good comp now. Leaves div 1 a bit short though . Caloundra will be back in div 1 though.

Wouldnt be surprised if MB make the call now that both Maroochy and Noosa are out and the obvious choice. I think Sandgate would be a really good option too if they were able to get their club back on track - is the division that suits imo.

Not all the Sandgate QAFL players from 2019 are heading back a lot are staying with the clubs from 2020

Sandgate getting a few with Fabian, Josh Wagner, Bevan etc so they will be handy enough as they also had reasonable Colts coming through.

Moreton have signed a few handy ones so they will definitely be team to beat again.

Thought as much but if there get 50% back you would think with there junior base they would be right up there
It would sad for then to start in Div 2 north

Just having Wagner will be an enormous bonus. Quality bloke, straight out of AFL footy, not banged up body wise. He will be a major player in whether Div 1 or 2 (especially!)
