I'm betting next week, they generally only do a couple per week statewide and this week was Townsville and Capricornia's turn. How long can it take?
Incompetence off the richter
They try align men’s and women’s games where they can. For us at Sandgate, we have Div 1 men’s and women’s, now the ressies women play in Div 2. Logistical nightmare really, so when Div 1 men’s draw changed, they had to rejig a few things. How is women’s and Div 2 north thrown out?
Sounds like regrading is being performed with some clubs because if it’s just one or two teams/clubs across different grades surely an alternate/back up plan would be in place.Rumours are that it’s not just Beenleigh that are causing delays in the comp draws. Seems a few teams might be moving. Not sure which teams or divisions though.
6 team comp, wouldn’t a 15 round comp where everyone plays everyone 3 times be better than a random draw where you play some teams 4 times and some 2. Maybe you can apply for the gig and help them out mate!the womens fixtures and structures leave a bit to be desired below QAFLW, and to make it worse the comp manager is departing in the next week despite not fixtures released yet!
100% LB. Only your actions matter. It’s funny how the words fun, development, cultural growth, fair play etc get bandied around by coaches, presidents, players etc but when it gets down to decision time all of those words
fall away and we go back to being all about winning.
They’ll drop the fixture on the day of round 1Under 50 days until season starts and still no fixture released…

They should go back to their own comp. It didn’t really work out going into the GC compOne big issue has to be Northern Rivers. Ballina have FB post date 31 Jan saying they’re out of Div 2 South, and plenty of comments from unhappy campers. Byron Bay posted that they’re chasing players (of any standard) on 15th Feb. Lismore trying to come back.
I think the issue is there is no "comp" in NR. Could they play in Div 2 south but with no reserve grade needed? They should go back to their own comp. It didn’t really work out going into the GC comp
banish them to Friday nights like they make everyone elseI think the issue is there is no "comp" in NR. Could they play in Div 2 south but with no reserve grade needed?
