Gympie had a 6 quarter praccy against Hervey Bay Bombers today

First 2 quarters were Gympie ressies v combined HB seniors/ressies side. HB put on about 70 points to nil

Last 4 quarters were Gympie seniors v the same HB side, Cats won this 'game' by about 2 goals

at least 4 of the Hinterland recruits played. Looks like they've improved but unless there were some decent outs to come in still you couldn't see them competing with the top end div 2 sides.

Zillmere looks like they only played one practice match. I saw Wynnum played Mayne. Interesting choice.

Were 2-2 after 4 games and lost one of those by 9 points to Park Ridge last year and then lost another to Park Ridge by 2 points then dropped off significantly. A wins a win but would say they'd need better results against the established teams personally.

Whilst I do agree it’s great for them to have strung two wins in a row. They’ve played Moorooka and Wynnum.

Looking at the results today. Seems the gap between top 4 and the rest are getting even bigger. Redcliffe in their own level of course. Reserves comp seem even more one sided.

Jindalee seem to have improved massively as well. Knocking over Alex Hills and although losing to Redcliffe by 10 goals, last year that could have been 20+ goals. Cracking game in both Ressies and Seniors of Zillmere and Moorooka too.
