Morabito looked unready for a full game of AFL against St Kilda, why do people think he'll be any closer to playing AFL football six weeks later against top four sides?

I reckon Morrabito would be a pretty handy inclusion for rotating out of the backline especially if it's wet. He's a big body, athletic and goes hard at the ball, and would be a good rebounder with his thumping hoof. I think Tanner Smith and A Pearce no way. They would be monstered!
Check out my photos in the training thread, Smith has really bulked up, he's a huge lump of a lad now. Can't kick but I reckon if he's fit he could do a lock down job pretty well. Pearce is too young and undeveloped at this point but he's a likely type for the future, classy skills.

I don't think any of them including Morabito will be seriously considered but Smith depending on fitness is the most likely.

Ok. He's a big boy but he's played one AFL game. And to pit him up against Franklin or Tippett he'd get killed. He hardly sets the WAFL alight.

Well he's played nearly every game in the WAFL this year and averages around 25 possessions a game being amongst the best. I don't think one game against the Saints you can judge as the whole team was pathetic that day. He's a big boy too and a good ground level wet weather player in my opinion. Could have some X factor as a sub? Couldn't discount him as an option.

Shifting ,muddy surface and dodgy knee doesnt fill me with confidence re Mora

I would be extremely surprised if RTB threw Smith into the line up. He would get completely monstered and out played by the likes of Buddy, Tippett and Goodes.

I am having flash backs of when Dawson at the Hawks in one of his early games against Anthony Rocca.

In the one game Tanner has played for us it was against Buddy and he did ok. BUT I think it would be a massive call to bring him in for this game off limited WAFL. Next year he will get chances but not ATM.

Mora would be a reasonable match up for Goodes and as the games goes on could probably expose him running out of defence but again get the feeling RTB wants to keep him aside till next year with another pre-season under his belt.

The problem is his conditioning isn't up to scratch. He really struggled when he wasn't the sub. He'd be a no brainer if he was able to get through a full game.

Sheez. If it's bucketing on Saturday, this should really help us one would think. Their forward line is too tall for wet conditions and our ground level players including Pav in our forward line could have a field day

Predicted rainfall is about 3mm - which is not really that much for Sydney.

Am I correct in saying Bird and Kennedy haven't played in 3 weeks? Bird with a dodgy knee and Kennedy with a dodgy hammy? Interesting them having to come back in a QF and forecasted wet weather and a heavy ground.

me thinks they are taking the risk to get the week off

geez Swans supporters are a cocky bunch, aren't they. Given they're on top of the ladder with a high probability to take out the flag but didn't realise that meant the fans become full blown experts. Can't say I have come across it quite as bad with other teams.

Haha. Strong similarities to Geelong's board at the same time last year. Couldn't conceive that they would lose. Happy for Freo to be the underdog, we always play harder under those expectations.

they realised their kids wont be enough like they got found out against tigers or any team playing with pure heart and guts compared to overpaid talent and star studs.

Don't be surprised if the AFL gives the Swans a 5 goal head start to equalise the match up.
