This may seem like a stupid question but since I have never lived in Melbourne, and have been living overseas for a number of years, I don't actually know what to do to get tickets to games! I have some kind of Hawks international membership, but it has no ticket access.

I'm planning a trip to Melbourne early April and I want to go the games against the Cats and Tigers. How do I get tickets for these games? Just buy online at Ticketek? Any idea when they become available?

Ticketek is your best option I would suggest. Particularly if you want reserved seats - you could always rock up and buy tickets at the game but both of those games you would be running the risk of taking seats in the GA.

Not sure if it works - but there is a 'waitlist' option on the Ticketek website:
