West AdelaideThat's your opinion(s) and you're welcome to it (them). I think Lyons is currently the last player selected, and will be the first one out. I also think that Mackay's game was much, much better than many here seem to think.
If they were making the changes strictly on form, then Brodie Smith would be the player dropped. I don't expect that to happen.
Yep, if the Seed is ready to go, he plays 1's this week. He will be there in September for us and knows the mcg well. Give him a gallop on the big stage and let him show the rest of the tea, how to play the ground. We are getting to a point with selection where when a first 22 player is coming back (Seedsman) we have to find someone to drop, and it's not easy because all 22 are contributing.
Good. That's where we need to be.
I don't know what the answer is, but I like the question.
Mackay would be my choice to drop out, but that's not because his performance demands dropping. He's been fine. Just that he's never better than "fine".

Hyperbole much. Would easily be top 10 in the b&f.
Mackay is currently playing Seedsman's role. There is no way Lyons is dropped and Mackay the inferior inside mid takes his role. That's your opinion(s) and you're welcome to it (them). Why? So that I can spend an hour in a tit for tat with you? Am I this evenings entertainment for Sanders? There isn't any changing people, which brings us onto this meaningless drivel of yours.
Perhaps try making an actual argument![]()
Ok. Hurts to say but go pearDepends. If Port bear Hawks and we beat Carlton we will overtake the Hawks....!
Agreed.I don't think Paul Seedsman comes straight back in.
He will come back via the 2nds and wait his time
If he has a rest that would be the end, his not a kid that likes to rest as you seen in last years final. He acknowledges he had a poor game but he played his roll on Dawes who had little influence as we say don't make the same mistake twice he is a young kid with a huge future don't f$$k it. Snake will be back. the crows are his life they are saying back in Melbourne! After 1 game in ~21 days?? How much more of a rest does someone need?
For me, Lever is in the 22 every week unless injured. Dead set Gun.

I have marked the Crows down for a loss over Geelong and Freo in my ladder predictor. It is tough playing Freo in Freo....don't care what anyone says!!!Considering the bigger finals picture I would rest Thompson in away games against bottom 8 sides starting this week against Carlton and then again against Fremantle
At the age of 34 this would give Thompson the best opportunity to prepare and set himself himself for one last crack at team success in Sept
Two byes with 3 rest games does seem plenty in one season however it also
Presents opportunity to tailor his training and to have him at his peak for the last 4 weeks of the season and possibly his career
Mackay was pretty good in the second half
It's gonna be a tough call re Seedsman but they need to get him in if available. He's a key player to our style of game
I had Lyons in my best couple - he's not going anywhere . Clean in stoppages , kicking well , marking overhead and hitting the scoreboard
Mackay for a player of 150+ games fumbles and f***** up way too much and I struggle to understand how people say that he played well! The amount of times he should have taken the ball in one touch and taken off (or at least dished out a slick handball) instead was fumbling and getting tackled resulting in a stoppages was embarrassing. Not to mention how many times he was made to look stupid while trying to tackle either being brushed off or ran around, to be fair he ain't the only culprit but **** me.. Anyone that can tackle and kick will be an improvement.
