Enlisting a fringe, defensive midfielder from an average side as the backline coach is certainly a choice.

When Ridley gets hurt we literally don't have a single decent defender. McGrath, Shiel and Prior are all spuds. McKay is playing like a spud. Redman hasn't been a good player for 18 months. Reid and Roberts are kids.

Try to be a little positive: kick a 100 points, Merrett was good and edwards/Kako 5 goals.

But yeah, something went wrong with the defensive game today. 59 marks to the crows 129. 20 marks inside 50 for them and they also won the tackle count 48 to 59, while having more disposals. Probably on the midfield here for been lazy, putting the back 6 under huge amount of pressure.
