If Marsh could get some form at SANFL
level it would be great to
Give him some exposure alongside Tex and TT.
I like this but Finbarr is more versatile with the ruck ability.
Plus ...no Weitering this week makes another tall an attractive option.

Keays is all about effort and work rate. He has zero class, so whenever he has a niggle that impacts his running capacity, he becomes quite poor. With the years progressing and the amount of miles in the legs, it won’t surprise me if his cliff arrives in a hurry.
He's also suffering from our gameplan, as slow movement does him no favours in his position

Pre-season, I looked at our injuries and our first 7 games and thought … we might only beat Carlton and St Kilda and be 2 - 5.

We are at 1-3 now so slightly ahead of my guess.

The losses we have had have been close, we have played the wrong players … we have played the right players on the wrong positions … our tactics and strategy have been horrid.

Lose to Carlton, St Kilda or Paer and we are showing signs that the top 6 is out of our reach. Maybe the wheels start moving internally to get rid of Nicks?

I’d want to see that change in game style hitting the deck pretty soon - because we will need to be playing some damn good footy to win some of our away games against good sides.

Curtin, Keane and Ah Chee need to get back into the 23 … and hopefully we see Draper before too long.

We have:
- Lions away
- Hawks in tassie
- Bulldogs away
- Sydney away
- Freo away

Before we are done with the regular season, that’s 5 games against teams we should be fighting for position with … where we are starting as absolute outsiders.
Well if we lose all of those and finish the season 15-8, then that's pretty good

You'd think if Edwards was playing we'd have the fluffy debutant announcement by now.
If he's not in the frame for selection by now, you'd have to think he's likely to be delisted at the end of the year.

Does look a bit that way sadly
Something seriously wrong with coaching or selection if you’re playing well in a position we are weak in, in the sanfl and get delisted without a game

If he was going to be delisted he would have a run of games until R23

Absolutely.

Wright has been pumping up both Edwards and Dowling this year so far, there would be an element of frustration from that side of the fence too.

Having to pick the guys up after dominant performances in the 2s while our senior players fail.

We will likely win this game as Blues are cooked, but won't mean much as we are not going anywhere under Nicks

B: Michaelanny, Borlase, Murray
HB: Laird, Worrell, Milera
C: Cook, Dawson, Cumming
HF: ANB, Walker, Taylor
F: Rankine, Thilthorpe, Fogarty
R: McAndrew, Berry, Rachele
I: Nankervis, Peatling, Edwards, Dowling, Maley

In: Fogarty, Cumming, Edwards, Dowling, Laird, Nankervis
Out: O’Brien, Jones, Pedlar, Keays, Soligo, Bond

Bond unlucky, but imo Laird too similar.

Keays needs to find form in the sanfl.

Soligo needs managing with short breaks.
Hey, Carlton were plucky and perhaps unlucky to lose - whatever. The Crows are on a 3-game losing streak and have lost the last 4 at home. If Weitering was playing, they would be my tip. Gather around people...we're in a world of hurt if we lose this one and there's a new monkey on the back. Filthy and Tex v Carlton minus Weitering. Over to you, mids.

Wright was a beneficiary of that very same selection philosophy though.

We aren’t losing this game. And make no mistake, Nicks has the perfect list to keep him banking enough wins each year to keep him in a job until the board finally wakes up. He is our Hinkley. Buckle up and settle in for the ride. He will be our longest serving coach of all time. For all of time. Bookmark it.

I just have to correct you on the perception that the board is somehow asleep at the wheel.

They’re very much awake, and acting deliberately, doing none of the things members want them to do. That’s the AFC board’s job, and it’s been its job forever.

If you think any of the non-elected positions are in it to serve members, and are just making honest mistakes, disabuse yourself of that notion immediately.

You think Nicks only asked for a year extension to end of 2027 after finishing Minor Premier???? I'm surprise he didn't get at least a few years.

Yeah, you’re prob right. But it doesn’t change the outcome.

He needs to retire. I don't agree with Andrew Jarman often but he was right with what he said.
Big call..... generally I think the opposite of Jars.

I reckon he'd be able to find a club to be a back-up and still get paid. It shouldnt be here, but its likely to be.
