Interesting that Sydney is now within home ground advantage of beating Hawthorn (although Squiggle can't see that the Hawks have the Swans measure at the moment).
To be squiggle champions going into finals is a tantalising prospect. Something like straight sets would be utterly brutal to swallow from here, but if we win next week then the flag is firmly within our grasp.

Think he meant from a pre season prediction. Lose the club's B+F in the NAB cup, lose his replacement in the first game, 1-2 to start and one of the most embarrassing derbies of all time.
Watch the Eagles TV coverage after the derby loss, I'd suggest the way the season gone can be considered unexpected.

I'd say it will be the most unexpected loss of history if west coast don't win this one.

It will be a waste of multiple years if Hawthorn don't win it as 3 in a row doesn't happen all too often.
It will be a waste of MILLIONS if Sydney don't win it as they paid Buddy to win premierships and well thus far the return in the investment is 0
It will be a golden opportunity missed if the Eagles or even Richmond don't win it as this could be their best chance

Surely joking, playing our 3rd and 4th KPDs? (Admittedly will now become 2nd and 3rd next season regardless as a result of good play). Most unexpected loss in history - if you tried to deflect pressure off Hawthorn any harder I'd be impressed.

From a pre season perspective. It's clear now that we are definitely in calculations. But prior to the season, I'd be amazed if one even remotely credible journalist or media outlet rated us as a top 8 prospect.
Still the Hawks flag to lose IMO. Their best is still a step above.
